I guess nobody has nothting to do but criticize Kate and Jerry. I think this is pathetic!!
I find this inmature and disgusting. It’s like a bunch of women are sitting around gossiping….

I can;t believe so many people are judging and weighing in on every word and appearance.

Madeleine’s parents and family love her. It’s easy to say “I would never do what they did”. It’s always easy to say after the fact.

Did you ever turn your back and your child fell off her bike and was hurt? How would you like it if this was in the papers….The public would criticize you for turning away.

Stop torturing the Mccann family and think about Madeleine. Why not spend your time helping instead of gossiping and being judgeing them for the terrible decision they made that evening. I don’t hear anyone talking about the others that left there little ones alonr that night.

And yes, I do agree it was the wrong thing to do. Can’t turn back time….They will live with this the rest of there lives.

Just because Kate said Madeleine was her buddy…stop and think. Can’t anyone read between the lines. I guess if they had a script in front of them and said what you wanted to hear you would still find something negative.

I am praying for Madeleine and her family. I suggest you do the same.

Amazing….So many of you are so tired of hearing about this awful tragedy, but you still look up the latest stories and make you cruell remarks.

They already spoke of there poor judgement, and will live with this the rest of there lives. Children have been taken from there own homes while napping and the parent is ourtside doing yard work. I agree what they did was wrong. Lets get past this and remember there is a child missing and they are doing all they can to find her.

Morning….

Firestar… I did as you suggested and ‘restored settings’ but still no bookmarks. Could I have deleted them? I haven’t got any but neither can I add any. The box is not co-operating. I miss my bookmarks… especially the ’shopping’ ones.

While looking back to see if Firestar had responded I was horrified to see the posts by Ade and Delboy refering to Garth’s parents. NOT fair play at all. The Annie1 joined it…. so very very personal and really out of order. Surely its possible to bicker with Garth himself? Not slag off his parents and then even carry on after he’d gone? I know Garth can stick up for himself (and does!) but surely there’s a line?

Re: the buggy….. I interpreted it that the night they went to the Millenium they didn’t take the buggy with them so had to carry the children back? I know the cobbles there are a nightmare to even walk on let alone push a buggy over… not a buggy friendly area at all.

The rest of it I’m not commenting on because I’m not supposed to be here and I’ll get caught up cos I have no will-power but I will keep one eye out in case Firestar can help me find my bookmarks. (i’m getting obsessive I know)

I listened to the Sun journalist Gaunt on Talksport. This discussion on the ‘neglect’ suggests that the media is finally taking the lid off the simmering public’s view that it is not ok to leave young children alone and that many (most) British parents don’t do it. It is hands up to those who do increasingly narrowing the group of parents down to the McCanns and a few selfish parents. Instead of presenting K and G as Mr and Mrs Britain there is a growing detachment from these sad, foolish parents. imo new parents should not be in any encouraged to accept a neglectful parenting model.

Although it is incredible that parents of young children would go anywhere let alone a holiday without a buggy to carry 3 young children, if you assume that it is correct (and that the photos are of buggy’s bought/borrowed later) then what a bombshell this is!
It again suggests poor parenting, poor anticpation of the need for a buggy as well as no plans to take your kids anywhere outside the creche .
It is more interesting though to think of the scenario May 2 of 2 adults walking back from the Millenium club with 3 tired, whinging, fairly heavy children all wanting to be carried by parents who would have other things to carry eg. nappy bag, maybe bucket and spades, drinks. Older children usually get priorty so you could imagine a highly stressed situation with heavy, tired, whinging children wanting carrying by parents with sore backs, with parents seriously regretting the decision to go on holiday without a buggy.
Does anyone know how far it is from the Milennium to apartment 5a?
Incredible though it is not to have a buggy for young children/babies on hols, it may be an important context to explain Madeleine’s disappearance, imo.
