It is so sad that this beautiful little girl has not been found, all the talk, searching, police investigations will NEVER alter the fact, that .......
IF this little girl and her brothers had NOT been LEFT ALONE.....she would be alive today.<a> [Madeleine is missing. There is no proof she is dead. That is a SUPPOSITION on your part. - Duncanr] </a] The parents have to live with it, that will be their punishment. How hard must that be to remember, sitting drinking socialising with friends and they could have had their children with them safely asleep in their pushchairs beside them. The nightmare will never leave them now, and yes they were bad parents.

462 Matt.
461…val
"“When Clarence first met Gerry” commenced in the 4th week of May 2007.
Immediately following the rapid “removal” of Sheree Dodd. ""

When they were insisting that M was alive and could be found very quickly.
It is another of the great conundrums (conundra ?) of this case, which ranks along with future planning for 100 days, 6 months, anniversary parties and so on.
The long term-ness of the disappearance was clearly KNOWN by everyone concerned right from the start.
Including HMG, Clarrie, Dodd, the Fragrent Duo, the Magnificant 7, and Uncle Tom Cobbleigh et al.
Otherwise none of this makes sense.

But then how much about the case actually does ?

Quite true.

The Parliamentary Sub Committee concerned in 1998 with, and questioning
the matter of the huge increase of Political Advisors, from about 7 during the Thatcher era o over 70 with the advent of New Labour...or Spin Party...
was the originator of the "open comp" quote re Shree Dodd.

Mind you as Alistair Campbell was the "Advisor" being questioned...I wouldn't
automatically believe him anyway. :)

My point about Occam’s Razor was to eliminate any other so called elements (moon worshippers, George Harrison lookalikes, renegade priests etc) though yes SOME OC staff members would have to take part in the reconstruction - those who saw Maddy on 2/3 May and those who saw the T9 dining etc. Plus of course any other independent witnesses like Jes.
IMO they should have had the reconstruction some time ago.
--------------------------------------------------------

Open to correction, but I think the Mcs asked for a full reconstruction, Crimewatch-style, shortly after M disappeared. Their request was refused because it would have broken Portuguese judicial secrecy laws.

I think that's the case. Maybe someone else has the relevant links? I haven't kept many links associated with this case.

Sheree Dodd worked for HMG at the time.

Justine McGuinness was, seemingly, interviewed, among others.

----------------------------

Sorry; my point was unclear. There are two ways of getting appointed in the Civil Service; by open competition and by being slid in by a politician following the politicisation of the Civil Service which started under Margaret Thatcher and accelerated rapidly under Teflon Tony.

Sheree Dodd is said to have been appointed by open competition.

Which might explain why Team McCann found her 'unhelpful' and wished for a change...

453 Carmen

the Question asked was dated 7th May, my guess is CM is now considered a liability and
HMG wants to ensure they have no involvement in the McCann case.

As you say, 25 days from 3rd May doesn"t make sense, who was Justine recommended
by? Who actually recommended CM to take over from her?

Good morning to you and all.

Can you suggest why Questions are being asked? Perhaps CM is now causing some
embarassment to HMG.

-------------------------------------------------------------

That looks to me like a planted question; someone wanted to make it clear that Clarence has no connection to the Foreign Office, and never did have. He was Teflon Tony's hack, there to spread the good news of Teflon Tony's many wonderful actions, and pick up any votes that might flow Tony's way.

That's why there was never any chance of Clarence going back to the COI once it was Gordon's...

'Clarence Mitchell was seconded to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, from the Central Office of Information (COI), for a period of 25 days in May 2007 to provide assistance with the media to the family of Madeleine McCann. He resigned from the COI in September 2007.'

Ferdinand/Chenier

My point about Occam's Razor was to eliminate any other so called elements (moon worshippers, George Harrison lookalikes, renegade priests etc) though yes SOME OC staff members would have to take part in the reconstruction - those who saw Maddy on 2/3 May and those who saw the T9 dining etc. Plus of course any other independent witnesses like Jes.
IMO they should have had the reconstruction some time ago.
