‘Young lad’ is, of course, irrelevent in my point which you seem to have dwelled on. The point is however, and laughable as it may seem, is that you used this example as a comparison to the McCanns in so much as their actions are likened to the Colwyn Bay example and would therefore have resulted in the McCanns facing charges. Apart from the obvious ‘completely different situations’, the person to whom you referred had, along with his partner, previously been warned.

You compared the young lad who left two tots in a flat whilst he went off on a bus and was absent from caring for them for up to one and a half hours whilst he cashed his giro to the of the actions of the McCanns. In other words you were saying that the McCanns, had they commited their said crime here in the uk, would have been convicted of child neglect.

I say a judge would laugh at you had you used the comparison as an example to bolster a prosecution.
