Anorak, I applaud you, having read your column since the beginning of Madeleine’s case. I have watched you grow, and change to where now, you are making us stop and think
“Science will never offer an answer to the parents of Madeleine McCann. Nor will it ever be irrational to go to a Mozart concert, though science can never explain the genius of his music.”
Madeleine’s parents did everything they could to stifle and confuse the quality of the forensic findings re the case, even to being presumptive in offering explanations to counter what they knew would be discovered before even being made public.
How amazing that we can, as you so poignently stated, accept the genius of a Mozart without question and simply appreciate his work. And then realize as Spudgun said, how the whole world watched and waited for Madeleine except the 2 people to who Madeleine McCann surely meant the most. Simply amazing

I find this insitance that she is with paedo very unhealthy.

I agree with Jo. there is nil eveidence of abduction, noone’s behaviour suggested abduction, (can you immagine leaving children on there own again, once one had been abducted, or other families not going to check their own babies that were unprotected, with an abductor around) shutter and windows weren’t jemmied open, Clarrie admitted there was no sign of a break in. Therefore she can’t be in the hands of paedophiles, unless there is another scenario and she is deliberately in the hands of paedos with people knowing who they are IMO.

The English Newspaper SUN published an interview yesterday with declarations attributed to José Manual Anes, regarding the Maddie Case, where he criticizes harshly the investigation. Contacted by the CM Anes said that it is al lie, guarantying that he has not spoken to the press for ”more than one year” and he says he is going to sue the English Paper.

I think that all any of us want, and I know it’s what I want, is to know the truth of what happened to Madeleine McCann.

Where to start? Praia Da Luz should be combed backward and forward, dug up and every drain, tunnel and remote hut or house searched. That would be a start at least.
I greatly fear that she died that night and she is now a little pile of bones somewhere. An even worse fear is that she is with paedophiles.
There is hardly an outcome to this story that would cheer the heart, but hope springs eternal.

Clarence threatened to sue Amaral even before the Book was published, so why havn”t
the McCanns done so? Amaral would have to defend what he has written and obviously feels he can with resorting to the Files which havn”t been released. Maybe the McCanns Lawyers know this and don”t want to take the risk.
Apart from negligence, you are right, nothing has been proved, but neither has anthing
been discounted, hence the case shelved rather than closed.

I can answer that; it’s because it is a self-serving piece of sh*t, accusing people of a heinous crime (unsupported by the first shred of reliable evidence), and an invitation to court in any country which values the rights of its citizens.
To say that ones civil rights are being impinged by ones inability to libel is an affront to both the rule of law and common sense.

If Amaral is withholding real evidence that is not in the files…….why wasn”t it? the
McCanns obviously feel threatened hence the Sun article. I read the book has sold
200,000 copies in Portugal, Spain and I think France. It is soon to be published in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, so to my mind, there is no way it will not be published
in England, if not by an English Publisher, maybe, U.S., Canada or Australia.

It isn’t the Stock Exchanges that you have to worry about, it’s the financial markets. Equities are just collateral damage.
And unless and until the banks start lending to each other again it isn’t going to get any better, which is why the US is now copying Gordon’s plan, rather than its own.
When things get this bad Governments have to take over, send in Swat teams and find out what really is lurking in those bank vaults…

I thought I read someone say that Amaral would disclose stuff at a Libel trial that is not in the book and not in the archived case files in his defence that is seriously damaging to the McCanns, allegedly.
Either way there is this problem that if you sue people for writing things that are actually or turn out to be true then you are in deep schtik, like Archer was, or that attorney general chap, Aitken.
They have Carter-*uck; the best Libel lawyers in the UK, they invented it in the modern sense and are great chums of Private Eye (sic).
So why don’t they, then?
I’ve been saying for a while now that all it takes is one English Language documentary laying it all out about the Dog Evidence and so on to finally bury their spun media image.
I still have faith in the UK public that when they turn, they turn properly, and it’s usually for dishonesty.

Yes I have noticed the majority of posters clinging to every snippet on Madeleine.
As for the economy it seems from the experts being interviewed that the Governments
bale out proposals will make little difference, panic has taken over on the Stock Exchange in the U.S. which is having a knock-on effect around the World.

There has been very little ‘news’ on the Madeleine front, but a lot of news on the financial crisis which Anorak has covered in a lot of detail over the past weeks.
Some posters are only interested in the MM stuff, so they tend to ignore other topics…
