Morning all.
slightly off topic I know, but I’ve been trying to find out why Baby P, his mother and the mother’s boyfriend are not being named but the lodger is? No-one that I’ve asked knows why but there must be a good legal reason. Baby P is dead so there is no need to protect him…….. I’m bewildered.
Once again the Social Workers at ground level are getting the flack…
They need to sort out the Childrens Act and untie S/W’s hands and start utilising older women/men by training them as Social Workers instead of employing youngsters straight out of Uni and foreign trained S/Ws with no life experience.
So there!
-agw: The mother was stated in Parliament yesterday to be 17-years-old and unable to take care of the child. The judge must have made an order and from the age and statements, there could be Care/ Protection or Mental Health Act Orders in place for the mother already. In which case Social Services have a great more to answer for than is being publicly stated. I have a friend who specialises in teenage pregnancies (the friend is female and has a Ph.D. on the subject) She may have a view. I’ll get her to post if I can.

yes, i read the same doris, didn’t realise the bf was too. though i don’t understand how their age could be used as an excuse, someone said she was 17 and without experience etc, i was 17 when i had my first, well nearly 18 really, and i just don’t understand what age has got to do with it, she was clever enough to cover marks with chocolate.
