Baby P: The Mother Revealed, Dad’s Grief And The X Factor
BABY P Watch: Anorak’s at-a-glance look at Baby P in the news…
DAILY MIRROR: “Baby P mum bid for new ID after jail”
Who’s to say she will get out of jail?
The mother of tragic Baby P could get a new identity when released from jail, it emerged last night.
Could. Such are the facts…
Tory MP Philip Davies said: “The taxpayer may have a huge bill to protect her rights. It’s offensive.”
May. Such is the outrage…
THE SUN: “A father’s grief for tragic Baby P”
A picture of a man weeping by the side of Baby P’s Sun shrine. The father?
A GRIEF-STRICKEN lawyer sobbed at Baby P’s memorial plaque yesterday. Dad-of-five Phil Simmonds was overcome after laying flowers at the growing shrine dedicated to the tragic tot.
It’s the Princess Diana moment. And touching of the Sun to take the picture and broadcast it. No privacy in the battle for Our Baby Of Hearts.
A stream of people, some with their children, visited the shrine around a granite memorial provided by The Sun.
Bring the kids. Make a day of it. It’s the Sun’s grief fest and everyone is invited.
Let’s hear it for the Sun. Hip-hip…
A billboard lorry with the message Justice For Baby P was driven to the offices of Haringey Council. Crowds cheered support as the truck drove to Westminster.
Then they threw flowers and the truck made its way to Althorp House…
And remember how Baby P’s ashes were scattered and their was no funeral. Well…
TRAGIC Baby P DID have a proper funeral — with 150 mourners and Eric Clapton’s moving Tears In Heaven playing. The 17-month-old lad’s emotional service in North London was revealed by relatives, angered by claims his ashes were uncaringly scattered in an unmarked plot after he died from horrific abuse.
And relatives said his natural father played a pivotal role in arranging a touching farewell to the 17-month-old, whose suffering has broken the nation’s hearts.
Any mention of how the Sun then stuck its plaque on the spot and land grabbed the child?
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Baby P’s mother could get new identity and lifetime anonymity”
Could.
Baby P’s mother could be given a new identity at the expense of taxpayers after her release her prison, it has been disclosed.
The taxpayer will pay, unless the ITV This Morning team or Ten Years younger offers to change her face for free?
THE HERALD: “West’s involvement in Congo’s suffering”
Perspective, and decent google search result…
It is right to be shocked by the horrific suffering Baby P was put through. Civilians in Congo, including children, continue to suffer torture, hunger, rape and deaths just as terrible.
THE INDEPENDENT: “Richard Ingrams’s Week: Why say what you mean when you can use jargon”
Before looking at the facts in the case, say, of the Baby P tragedy, it helps to pay attention to the language used by officialdom in all its different grades.
You could start, I suppose, by noting the way the dead boy is not to be known by his name. By pinning, for whatever reason (legal or otherwise), the label Baby P on him, they immediately diminish his humanity and make him look like just another case history.
Get a load of that plaque. Thanks to the Sun Baby P is always Baby P…
DEBORAH ORR (Indy): “Deborah Orr: It’s easy to praise the public on decisions that don’t matter”
Campaigning citizens press for the names of the convicted torturers of Baby P to be named, even though the precaution is there only to protect his four living siblings. And in the US people watch a boy commit suicide, unable to tell what’s real and what’s fake.
No wonder people are so attached to Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor.
It;s all entertainment…
DAILY STAR: “NET CLOSES IN ON BABY P’S KILLERS”
THE mother of Baby P and her partner have been identified by vigilantes in an internet poster campaign. And it is feared that the friends and families of those responsible for the toddler’s death could face revenge attacks.
Let’s get the innocent.
DAILY MAIL: “So is Baby P’s mother wicked, stupid or simply unhinged?”
Her own background is just what you would expect: a broken family, squalor and neglect. She was born in the Midlands to a woman of Irish background, who spent most of the time smoking cannabis and was living with a door-to-door salesman.
Worked out who she is yet?
Eighteen months later, she parted from the salesman and moved with the baby to London. An older boy (either the salesman’s son or the result of some other relationship) remained in the Midlands.
After the salesman died in 1988, the older brother came to live with Baby P’s mother and grandmother in London. He is believed now to be in prison. When she was 12, Baby P’s mother was told by her own mother that ‘Dad’ was not her biological father after all…
More clues? Or just more perversion?
It is even claimed that she was conceived when the man she thought was her father paid another man to have sex with her mother while he watched. To the vast majority, this must seem too sordid to be true. But these people do not follow the normal rules of civilised society; they have chosen to live outside it.
CROYDON TODAY: “No guarantee Baby P case couldn’t happen in Croydon, admits council chief”
Well, yes. Dave Hill, the council’s director of children, young people and learners, might also admit that he cannot guarantee the buses will run on time and youths will not hang about looking moody…
KENT NEWS: “Baby P’ cruelty case prompts MP into action”
MP Paul Clark has today written to council chiefs to seek assurances that a ‘Baby P’ style child cruelty case could not happen in Medway.
Anyone with an ounce of sense think he get it?

Unless and until the childs safety is seen as most important, then it will happen again anywhere.
The mother’s voice was heard.
Babies can only cry, or scream or be ‘cranky’.
Crankiness in an adult is seen as a result of stress, now babies are not known to be stressed when well cared for.
If professionals would actually appreciate the meaning of the words they have at their command, and follow that clue up, then maybe things may improve.
And perhaps move into someones REAL world , not an ‘ideal’ world where all mummies love their babies.
And would a caring mum actually leave a childs face covered in chocolate?

I never knew that door to door salesmen had chosen to live outside civilised society; suddenly it all makes sense…
November 22nd, 2008 at 4:31 pm
The whole thing makes me really want to puke now. Its the Sun at its absolute hypocritical worst, taking the moral high ground and rubbing hands with glee at the extra sales.
I’ve also noticed the dark side jumping on the bandwagon also…..

Yuk Yuk Yuk and more Yuk. (how eloquent am I?

Stomach turning, I agree, Cool and Calm.
The list of things to be included in the letter to the Select Committee is getting longer and longer…

I won”t comment on the suffering of Baby P because words fail me. How could
Haringey Social Services not have taken the boy away sooner, and worst of all, not
one Member of Staff has had the decency to resign.
November 22nd, 2008 at 8:46 pm
I find it astonishing that Russell Brand was sacked for an inappropriate phone call while Haringey Council management and social workers are allowed to carry on with their daily routine of ineptness and negligence.
They were probably only concerned about their bonuses; secure jobs and not rocking the system. If they had put the children first instead of themselves this would never have happened. One social worker took action and wrote to the government expressing her concerns. She should become a major part in the restructuring of that department. Haringey Council are hoping in time the public will forget this horrific crime and move on to the next story. Not this time.

Rest in peace, Baby P.

That Daily Mail article is “journalism” at its absolute lowest.
November 23rd, 2008 at 6:30 am
I don’t care about the journalism in this case.
Baby P’s death was so horrific - days with a broken back and broken ribs - that I’m unashamedly baying for blood on this one… Viva la lynch mob… Not that it makes a blind bit of difference - the killers will continue with their nasty, selfish little lives - the social workers will keep being crap…
Another thing - if we can’t even get the social workers to change their ways & they’re in this country and we pay them - what do hacks who take the moral high road of telling us that children die all the time in the Congo/Iraq/assorted other war zones expect us to do about it?????
November 23rd, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Social Workers don’t choose how they work, they are strictly governed by the Childrens Act. These horrors happen because of a government obsession with bits of paper, evidencing and recording. 4 out of five working days are spent in the office as opposed the the ‘old’ days when it was the other way round.
Some Social Workers don’t do their jobs properly, many are inexperienced and the others have their hands firmly manacled to their desks.
The whole Act needs to be reviewed by sensible people who understand basic Social Work!
I am totally against the lynch mob mentality. it does no good and helps not one iota in preventing more abuse and deaths of children in and out of care. The energy of the Sun lynch mob would be better harnessed into campaigning for a change to the Act. So they get their hands on the three concerned and string them up…. what good would that do?
Re: children in Africa… I have donated for many years to Medicin Sans Frontiers who work with these children. Remember all the baby amputees of Sierra Leone? Similar is happening in the Congo and we can’t ignore them all because of baby P and his abusers/killers.

I don’t think she should ever cum out of prison. She has no right to get new identity and move on wid her life. What a ugly women her names Tracey stupid women how can three dirty people hurt a baby. Baby P is know resting and will go to heaven. Why does God give people like that a child I loved to know and those that want child don’t get one.

I am crying right now. Thinking how scared he must of been and how lonley he was. So many people failed this poor child. WHY. He was just a baby what did he do wrong. NOTHING. I dont care if that young girl was so afraid she was there she could of done something. Shes telling everyone the story of what happened so that proves she sat back and watched to. Its appauling She only had to tell somebody. Surley she was able to leave the house at some point then she could of gone to the Police but no she left him to get tourtured again and again. Sick Sick. I cant stand this It hurts me so much that all those people around him let this happen to him my God there is something really wrong with Society
Im am so so sorry baby P that you had to spend the short time of your life in such a Terrible Terrible way and I think about you all the time and I love you very much

Sadly, some tot, somewhere in the UK( or the world) is going through the same wicked ordeal as we debate/comment. Although Jesus innocently claimed that we all have to be like children to inherit the kingdom of heaven, he himself was kicked, beaten, stabbed, stripped naked and hanged shamefully in public. Baby P was innocent and profoundly lonely as he was surrounded by idiots as an antelope amidst wolves. He was shamefully rejected by society, especially the notoriously careless Haringey Social Services. Yes, the social services administration system needs immediate overhaulling. Most importantly, let us all try and show more respect for all forms of human life starting from the unique live cells to the old wrinkled soul. Baby P is an important piece of our future puzzle. As for his “non-mother” and her male friends I hope they all learn their lessons forever.

To those who say let justice prevail, justice has failed in this country for far too long, we are the people, we are justice, we make the laws, we sit on jurys are we not therefore able or intelligent and adult enough to pass sentence on these animals. We vote for the fools in whitehall, so if we are intelligent enough to do that then why not to pass sentence here in this matter.
How much longer do we have to sit and be made fools of whilst justice lets of these people with minimal judgments or plainly just letting them get away with it for fear of gov’t or human rights laws defending animals. how much longer are we going to be told waht is in our best interest, whilst being laughed at by idiots in gov’t whos only real care is how much they can steal from us and how they can keep their seats in gov’t making hollow noises and lining their own pocket.
WE ARE THE PEOPLE. THEY MUST LISTEN TO US, or we remove them. I am tired of being paid lip service by a bunch of bumbling incompetent incoherent idiots in parliament who kiss our backsides for votes then smack us in the mouth afterwards.
Baby Peter must be given REAL justice, not lip service.

Justice now needs to be done for the memory of baby p, and the horrific torture his tiny body and soul went through in his tiny life. Lets get perticianing the trio need life inprissonment for the evil torture they put p through. The only justice which can be done is to hang them, which brittan wont do so the next best thing is life for all 3 never to be released again, why should they live life when they have caused this pain, and grief world wide. Never forget u p always in my thoughts and dreams rest in peace xxxxxxxx
