Jaycee Dugard Entertains Oprah For One Million Dollars

jaycee-dugard-blondeJAYCEE Lee Dugard – Anorak’s look at Jaycee Dugard in the news: the human bone, child shopping with Nancy Garrido and Oprah Winfrey wins!

AS ever the media challenge is to make the kidnap, rape and insemination of a child worse:

On seeing the schoolgirl, Garrido is said to have told his wife: ‘That’s the one I want. She’s cute, but she’s with the other kids. Let’s come back later and get her.’ Mr Cardoza added: ‘This was nothing less than a child shopping trip. It just makes their actions all the more horrendous and reprehensible.’

And don’t forget that Jaycee Dugard could be you and yours:

Orlando Sentinel: “Why won’t you let your child walk to school?”

Consider this: In 1969, 41 percent of children either walked or biked to school; by 2001, only 13 percent still did, according to data from the National Household Travel Survey.

Interesting because:

It’s a phenomenon primarily driven by fear — fear of the stranger abduction.

Well, it’s also driven by – and do excuse the pun – cars, and school buses.

The New York Times has more on the Phillip Garrido in your town:

Why Can’t She Walk to School?

Because she’s morbidly obese and the school is seven miles away? Well, no:

“ ‘She’s just so pretty. She’s just so … blond.’ A friend said, ‘I heard that Jaycee Dugard story and I thought of your daughter.’ And they say, ‘I’d never do that with my kid: I wouldn’t trust my kid with the street,’ ” said Katie, a stay-at-home mother, who asked that her full identity be withheld to protect her children.

Don’t let your child be a victim. Dye her hair now and make sure that the news media does not feature her on missing persons! Or adopt a black child and make her walk everywhere.

And you remember that bone fragment found near the Garridos’ home, on a neighbour’s property? CNN has news:

The fragment, which was analyzed by an outside expert, will go on to the state DNA lab for testing, according to an e-mail from Jimmy Lee, director of public affairs for the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. “The expert has determined that the bone fragment found in the backyard of Garrido’s neighbor is probably human,” Lee said. “We will be requesting the state to see if it can develop a DNA profile on the fragment. It should be noted that it is not uncommon to find Native American remains in Contra Costa County,” he said.

And if you need entertaining in the meantime, hereeeeeee’s Oprah:

Jaycee is expected to appear on Oprah in December, for an estimated fee of $1million (£600,000).

Wonder what the advertisers will be pushing in the ad breaks?
