Iraq Shoe Thrower Muntadar al-Zaidi Big Oasis Fan And Gifs

As Muntadar al-Zaidi has been jailed for three years for throwing his shoes at George Bush, we look at his reasons.

One report says Zaidi shouted “long live Iraq” as the verdict was read out. But Anorak’s man in the courthouse heard his actual words were “Roll With It”.

Puzzled we dug deeper and found these bon mots from Oasis singer Noel Gallagher:

Americans are crazy. They have this fascination with throwing their shoes on stage. I’ve been to a lot of shows in me life, some good and some bad. But I was never moved to take off me shoes and throw it at the lead singer.”
