Jonathan Ross Linked To Pig Flu
ALL papers bar one lead with news that flu-infected pigs- swine - are out to get us.
No, not those pigs – these are real pigs, with porcine noses and trotters going “Wee! Wee! Wee!” all the way to the abattoir.
Some may look like Jonathan Ross.
As ever, a time of crisis is a time for Tablid Bingo, the newspapers game to see who can raise the body count the highests:
The Mirror: “Britain on alert as 2 killer flu cases suepcted”
Daily Telegraph: “ At least 20 cases have been confirmed as swine flu, also known as H1N1.”
The Sun: “86 killed in Mexico”
ITN: “The disease has claimed 103 lives in Mexico”
Press TV: The number of cases under observation in Mexico has reached 1,614, up from 1,324, according to the minister
The Scotsman: “SILENCE has fallen on Mexico City, a crowded metropolis of 20 million people…”
Daily Mail: !One expert said it had the power to kill 1.2million in the UK alone!”
The Times: “One of the greatest concerns is that the new strain seems to target young, healthy adults, the same group affected by Spanish flu, which killed 20 to 50 million people in 1918″
The Express: “120million could die”
Bingo!

Cheer up both, was eyeing a pair of shoes the other day thinking they’d be nice to stagger about in, but 4 inch heels? I don’t think so……not really

June said: Bet bird-flu is somewhat ruffled with swine hogging the headlines…..
The Mail deserves a proper roasting for its ham-fisted reporting sty-le which could easily cause panic.

Good Morning June, I thought I had put the spotty, self obsessed, frizzy haired, moody maniac of an adolescent, behind me, but at the slightest prompt….out he pops again full of teenage angst & pain….thanks for the memories…
Have a good day…i’m off to take the kid inside and the dog out…for a long walk in the rain

C&C What about that young healthy adult struggling to get out, we all have one, just that wrinkly saggy bugger hides it a bit too well

Oh well then. So long it targets ‘Young Healthy Adults’ then I don’t care cos I’m safe!

‘Is swine flu already here?’
As an example of irresponsible reporting, oink ant think of a rasher headline.
