Islam Copyrights Allah, Sues Catholicism: Video
THE word Allah is the property of Islam and anyone else using it will be sued. Really. In Malaysia:
A Catholic church in Malaysia which prays to Allah has prompted a court case over who can use the word.
Muslim leaders say Islam should be the only faith to use it, saying its use in other faiths could lead to confusion and conversions.
Jehovah Wakhbar!
Jupiter Akbar!
Does it work the same?
Time for Catholics to get their own name for God. Anorak suggests:
Elvis
Maddie
Aloha
Tony
Akbar
And countersuing.

I’d like to know why a great world religion like Islam feels so threatened by the use of a word…???? …and aren’t conversions what they are really after anyway..?
they seem to have created their own confusion through their petty statements…

hi all… im from Malaysia…. im sorry i have to comment on this issue..
what my country trying to protect is the ‘one and only god in Islam which is Allah’.and it is not ‘JUST A WORD’….
i wont comment anything in about other religion… what happen is… there’s been some abuse of the holy word. for example there is one Indonesian song which is sang by a Christian women and it is afraid that it will caused some disturbance in islamic society as a song can be quite influenced..
the lyric end like this ‘Sbab Allah Yesus ku’
translate to be——> because Allah is my Jesus…
before this.. they holy words has been misused several times..through blogging, videos n so on…. Malaysia is a multi-dynamic country with not only populated majority with Muslim but we live with chinese and Indian n few other majority Religious… for what is Worth, it is crucial taking steps to avoid Religious chaos as we in respect other religious independence..
Peace…….

….how about ..the Malaysian Catholics call their god Allan …..it’s a nice name and sounds the similar to Allah …..surely it would not offend anyone…. unless that is you happen to be a malaysian muslim man named Allan……then you have my commiserations.

Ok so now some people are trying to sue other people for the use of a word Allah,
so does that mean that everytime anyone walking around the streets or when teachers in mainstream schools mention the word Allah as part of the curriculum that they too could be subject to be sued ?
The whole claim that the word Allah can only be used by certain people does not work in the langauge sense for in Indian /asian countries the word for God = Allah.
So if there are Christians, Catholics families who speak the countries language the word for God would be Allah. However this could cause confusion as it would not be esay to tell the difference between what people are saying but in some ways thats no different to the UK where many people make references to God but they all have different ideas, values and understandings of what God is to them but this does not necessarily have any similiarities with Christian teachings or the Bible. People partly construc their own ideas. So maybe having a voluntary guidance in asking people of non-muslim groups to change their language could help but at the same time no one should be sued as the Catholic church would obviously use Allah if it is related to their language they speak.
