Gay Muslims Want You To Deface The Bible
IT is artistic to deface the Bible. Gay Muslims say it is:
A publicly funded exhibition is encouraging people to deface the Bible in the name of art — and visitors have responded with abuse and obscenity. The show includes a video of a woman ripping pages from the Bible and stuffing them into her bra, knickers and mouth.
And the word tasted good:
The open Bible is a central part of Made in God’s Image, an exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art (Goma) in Glasgow. By the book is a container of pens and a notice saying: “If you feel you have been excluded from the Bible, please write your way back into it.” … The exhibition has been created by the artists Anthony Schrag and David Malone, in association with organisations representing gay Christians and Muslims.
Because gay Muslims are persecuted by the Church?
A spokesman for the Catholic Church said: “One wonders whether the organisers would have been quite as willing to have the Koran defaced.”
Answer: no. Want to know why? Because the Bible and its believers are a softer touch:
Two gay teenagers were publicly executed in Iran on 19 July 2005 for the ‘crime’ of homosexuality.
And:
Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both, an Iranian leader told British MPs during a private meeting at a peace conference… Mohsen Yahyavi is the highest-ranked politician to admit that Iran believes in the death penalty for homosexuality after a spate of reports that gay youths were being hanged…
Not that there are any gays in Iran… anymore…

I am all in favour of Gays being subject to the same laws as hetrosexuals. But as far as i am aware it is not illegal or punishable by death to be Hetrosexual!!!!

Thin skin? One for your dermatologist.
I was not suggesting laughing at gays, Muslims, Christians, Bernard Manning’s, Niggers, Pakis, Chinks, Eskimos, Abbos, Wogs, Wops or Synagogue step jokes, nor those is touch with their masculine/feminine side, me or a guy called Clive.
That would be bigotry.
Posturing, pedantry, and feigned ignorance remain giggle-fest material.

oh no - I am in the sin bin again
Moderator - Nope just the usual glitch
July 25th, 2009 at 7:54 pm
agw - do you think I am that thin skinned ?
Obviously when I said you guys could titter it went over your head
or you forgot the previous posts on globes/spheres, whatever.
I do often laugh at homosexuals, except Graham Norton whose
only talent seems to be being a homosexual, but sometimes they go too far.
In my opinion this is one of those times where the intention is to offend
and not the usual just trying to attract attention.

For your info, I do laugh at the antics of most homosexuals (except
Graham Norton) but sometimes they push it too far, This is one of
those times.

There’s nowt as queer as folk Clive.
We’re laughing with you not at you.
The Bible episode is a ridiculous taunting nonsense. A waste of time and not at all art…
but then more than a lot of people think the same of me.
The trick is to laugh at it/them because that truly needles them to the point of apoplexy

Nah, some of us are still veggie, LP.
Although I could side swipe the little bastard who crapped all over my nice clean car….

I’m glad you’ve got it off your chest Clive. No point in keeping all that pent up frustration inside. It’s not good for you, especially over things that you’ll never have any say in or chance of changing. I’ve long realised that this country, your country, The whole UK as a whole is beset by sheer lunacy with no way out whatsoever, You’ll drive yaself mad thinking about it. Best of being you and enjoying life as you like it without worrying about a thing. June just mentioned squab pie in the forums, I reckon she’s after me with a rolling pin

Women homosexuals? I had no idea.
Is that a different ball game?

Dear agw
Your observations noted. Please remember that homosexuality is not limited to the male sex, there are also female homosexuals, some of whom are my mates.
However, bugger is as good a term as any for the male types, being a
dictionary definition. Personally I have never liked the term gay as most homosexuals I have come across seem anything but gay - more tense, uptight and frequently miserable.
But you miss my point, I am quite happy not to attend this event in Glasgow and Tracy Emins stuff is beyond parody - ~I just do not want to pay for it.

Dear Uncle Clive:
I’ve no particular wish to behead anyone.
In this particular instance, I have no wish to harm either my nephew or his civil partner.
I do reserve the right, and exercise it frequently, to call them a couple of young buggers whenever the mood takes me or I’m feeling liverish.
They have been careful not to respond.
Do you think I’m being too harsh. Should take down my Ayatollah Homokilla. poster and turn over a new houri?
Yours etc.
Troubled,
Mablethorpe,
Lincs
This Bible bashing is not either a good piece of art work or even a satisfactory way of making a political/sexual freedom statement.
On the other sexual front I wasn’t too keen on Tracy Emin’s unmade bed, empty fag packets, worn and bloodied panties and condoms. This is now in the Saatchi Gallery.
It looks a not very nice place to be.
A bit like the Glasgow exhibition so I won’t visit either. Their loss.
July 24th, 2009 at 11:24 am
I also try to ignore it . I agree on points of freedom of speech but in this case it is being funded by public monies. That is surely wrong.
July 24th, 2009 at 11:07 am
Clive - no need to apologise for getting riled - we all get our feathers ruffled from time to time….
the fact is that they do this because they have the freedom of speech which allows them to do it - in a muslim country they would be locked up and possibly killed for it.
personally I think the sight of a few tarted up queens making a noise is infinitely preferable to the sort of society which suppresses and silences individuals in one way or another.
that doesn’t mean to say that I agree with their point of view - IMO the rabid gay brigade are just as bad as the anti-gay baying hounds - but I would defend the right of either group to have a say - then exercise my own right to ignore it if I so wish!!
July 24th, 2009 at 10:56 am
Apologies for getting riled up - it is just when you see this sort of nonsense in my hometown, I wonder whar we are coming to.
As is being pointed out, homosexuals seem to find it appropriate to dress as nuns, deface the bible, etc, but would not dare mock Muslims or their koran.
I am not even religious, just get pissed off at this deterioration in our society and the double standards as a reult of so-called political correctness.
And yes, I was being extreme in comments about Sharia law - this is repulsive
and should have died out in the dark ages

Under Sharia law if a couple commit adultery, the woman is hanged , stoned or otherwise done to death, but the male partner isn’t. Hardly justice , is it?
I don’t know….. it’s not a bad idea really
July 24th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Clive
well thats PC for you!
There probably will be BNP actions taken because of this, but in fairness there should be the Koran and other Holy books to comment , ridicule and insult upon alongside. Or the Bible comments should be restricted to Christians only.
July 24th, 2009 at 9:58 am
If I sound riled, it uis partly due to the fact that the item covered by the article was funded by public money. To me, that is outrageous.

Agreed the gay community do seem to need to let everyone know they are gay first and everything else after, but beheading is a bit severe, just a course of good manners would resolve that matter.
July 24th, 2009 at 9:53 am
I wasn’t suggesting that you were getting upset Clive. The ‘you’ was a non specific ‘you’ referring to the general company. However if homosexuals are getting in your face then you do have a right to be upset about tha
July 24th, 2009 at 9:50 am
Clive - if you would seriously consider living under Sharia law, then good luck to you.
personally, as a female, I would fight tooth and nail to preserve my independence, rights and self-respect, ALL of which would be removed under this disgustingly archaic legislature….
give me PC any day - at least you can have a laugh about it without risking your head being chopped off…..
July 24th, 2009 at 9:43 am
I am not upset, just outraged at the increasing antics of homosexuals and their in your face behaviour. Let them do what they want in private but stop trying
to make it compulsory.
Beheading would be extreme but homosexuals should be subject to same laws as the rest of us.
And why should a crime against a homosexual result in a higher penalty than against any other member of the community ?
July 24th, 2009 at 9:29 am
It’s just a book after all. Getting all upset about it puts you in the same league as the mad mullahs. I personally do not feel excluded by the bible. I am in it several times starting in the coveting section and moving on through passing by on the other side
July 24th, 2009 at 9:13 am
Maybe Sharia law not so bad after all- a breath of fresh air compared to uk so called political correctness.
