There is a case for allowing supermarkets to sell mis-shapen fruit and veg, provided it has a label such as “suitable for cooking” on it.
As said: “He was talking about proposals for simplifying EU produce classification regulations.”

as it is pretty obvious that all vegetables (whatever formation) are suitable for cooking, would it not be more useful to have labels stating “not suitable for ***king” - just in case…. that would cover just about everything…
