Students Do Italian Job On Campus
TABLOID fact or tabloid fiction: “THE ITALIAN YOB” (Sun).
A “toff” student and a pal, of Bristol University, tried to recreate a scene from the Italian Job in a new mini:
“Earlier the pair roared around the halls at up to 40mph, shrieking with laughter in a 20-minute rampage over pavements and lawns. They woke other students who were furious?”
Tabloid fact or tabloid fiction? Answer…
Fact! Yeah, they “work students”…

You can console yourself with reflection that, post-financial crisis, the supply of brand new Minis for twits to make twats of themselves with are likely to be greatly reduced…

Chenier; this really did happen!
It was last Tuesday night, at Wills Hall at the University of Bristol - and the guy was kicked out of halls for it finally :-p
I’m in the halls next door; we heard it all going down! The police brought out a helicopter to deal with him, it was hilarious.
Angry students were the ones with 9am lectures… and those who’d quite appreciate having a brand new Mini to drive around and not drive down flights of stairs!

A sentence including the word ‘toffs’ last appeared in real life around 1962; since it now only exists in tabloidese it’s a fair bet that the entire event didn’t happen.
