12 People Arrested In Murder Of Rhys Jones
RHYS Jones was shot in the head. Rhys Jones was aged 11.
Says the BBC:
Twelve people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Liverpool schoolboy Rhys Jones.
They were held by Merseyside Police in a series of dawn raids in the Croxteth area of the city.
Two youths, aged 16 and 17, and two men, aged 24 and 25, were being held on suspicion of murdering the 11-year-old schoolboy in August 2007.
Three youths, two men and three women were being held for alleged offences including assisting an offender.
Rhys was shot in the neck as he walked home from football practice in Croxteth Park, Liverpool, on 22 August.
A sick crime. A brainless crime…

The truth will out !!!!!
It may have been a slow process for the police when it was made more than apparent from early in the case that they knew who was involved.
The slow process appears to have paid off and hopefully they will be able to make watertight convictions.
Peace and strength to the family of Rhys.

Well said Matty.
I was deeply moved by the quiet dignity of the Jones family at the time of Rhys’ murder. They have been allowed to bear their loss without undue press attention, which must have been a blessing to them.
I hope (almost certainly in vain) that some good will come of his death, and these arrests. Croxteth, Liverpool, and society in general needs to stand up and be counted against such events and the attitudes that lie behind them.
