The Shameless Six Million Britons On Benefits
HERE’S a story for Daily Mail readers to get their teeth into – six million Britons are reported to be living in households where nobody works.
The figures, which come from the National Audit Office, also reveal that these apparently workshy households are costing the great British taxpayer almost £13billion a year in benefits.
Almost three million UK households, home to 4.2 million working age adults and 1.7 children, are now classified as workless; in 80 per cent of these households, nobody is actively seeking work.
Sir John Bourn, head honcho of the NAO, says: “More has to be done to reach out to these households and to increase awareness of the support available and help people to prepare for and find work.”
Matthew Elliot of the Taxpayers’ Alliance isn’t holding back. Says he: “Hardworking taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay out billions of pounds to people who are too lazy to get off their couches to find a job. Many people thought that Shameless was a funny TV comedy. Unfortunately it was depiction of how millions of people live in Britain today.”
Much like that fly-on-the wall reality show The Royale Family…

and not wishing any one any harm, but maybe they’ll get theirs one day?

I don’t dispute that there are some lazy bastards abusing the system.

Jill, we are all aware there are people who are disabled, its the ones who are not disabled we are talking about , the lazy idle layabouts who refuse to work but who are more than capable of doing so.
I have 2 friends ( a couple) he has had a heart attack ,a stroke, has Type 1 diabetes, is a volunteer guinea pig at the local hospital for Diabetics. She has rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, suffered 2 strokes, is almost wheel chair bound. They are late 50’s early 60’s and until 8 years ago both were in full time work until they got too disabled to manage. They are on Benefits as neither can work now.

There are obviously people though who’s family for generations hasn’t worked. They know nothing else, they aspire to nothing else.
Like Chopper says, they’ve got cars, computers, DVD’s get “cash crisis” loans, but the concept of earning it doesn’t cross their minds.
Their parents didn’t do it. Why should they? As long as the Taxpayer keeps supporting them, why should they support themselves.

You can call me a lilly livered pinko lefty, if you like, but that statistic includes will include every household where both partners are disabled, or one is so badly disabled that they need the other to care for them. Bastards, living off your hard earned taxes.

it should be a condition of receiving Benefits (Job seekers allowance) that people do do manual jobs or they attend interviews. The Community service would be a good use of their time as we are paying some to idle ,
Obviously there are some people who do lose their jobs but don’t sponge and do find suitable jobs, so why can’t everyone?

Chopper sums it all up.
Nice one,Well said.

Most of the kids I went to school with in Hull lived in houses just like the Royale Family, and they probably still do.
I don’t believe that there are not enough jobs.
Why do we have litter on our streets when we pay people to do bugger all, people should get benefit but they should do some kind of community work to get it (cleaning streets etc).
If benefit, which remember is actually ‘jobseekers allowance’ was limited to say 6 months and then stopped I bet the lazy fuckers would get off their arses and get a job then. If you can’t find a job within 6 months you obviously aint trying hard enough, all the Polish seem to find jobs OK.
Also, how can everyone on benefits afford to have Sky TV and smoke. Surely the only purpose of benefits is to keep people sheltered and fed, not to live a life of luxury. Could they not be given sufficient military-style ration packs every week insteat of money? I think that those on benefits who smoke should get £5 a day knocked off, and then those with Sky get a further £30 a month knocked off. If as an honest hardworking tax-payer, I went to the Government and asked them to pay for my Sky TV they would tell me to fuck off. But the scumbags, yeah no problem.
And of course the numbers of these animals will just increase, two scrounging scumbags have 3 kids (who we all pay for) who become scrounging scumbags themselves, who each have 3 more kids (which we pay for too) so now there are 9 scrounging scumbags watching Sky and smoking at our expense. It is just a way of life for these cunts.
These twats have no intention of getting a job so stop their benefits and let them rot. I would vote for anyone who promises to do this.
Why can’t the decent folk prevail for a change?

So then, Britain has not changed much. I knew people like that when I was growing up in Willesden in the 1950’s and 60’s
Now I live in a country where the government is quite happy to let you starve in the gutter if you choose not to help yourself. Or you can be on welfare and take a little longer to die of malnutrition.
One of my uncles, a fine old fellow, is a decorated army veteran, and had the other half of his semi detached bought by an agency that houses the useless. He now has to put up with constant noise, rubbish thrown into his garden and occasional threats.
And the local council, do they do anything? Hell no!
Also, when the parking lot of his local supermarket was overrun by “Travelers” nothing was done either.
Try that here and the Sheriffs Department, guns draw, will arrive in short order, invading a farmers field could get you shot.

Yesterday I visited an old ex navy man, he was a clearance diver during the ‘D’ day landings, There was a Waps nest in his Bungalow so I telephoned the local council, because he was not on Benefit they charged him £45 to remove it: Of course if he had been on benefit it would have been free.
