The 9/11 Commemorative Silver Coin
HEY folks, September 11 is coming up faster than a jihadi in a 747. It’s a sad day for Amerika (drops head; wipes tear; grits teeth) but you can restore pride in the US of A with this commemorative medal-sized coin:
The National Collector’s Mint makes history with the release of this Government Authorized Non-circulating Liberian legal tender September 11th commemorative. This $20 Silver Leaf Coin-Certificate is payable like a silver certificate in coin-of-the-realm.
And why $20? Because 9 plus 11 equals:
This Coin-Certificate displays a standard $20 denomination on one side. But on the other side, it’s the first time ever that two separate denominations have been used to add up to the full $20 face value – it uses 9 and 11 to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy.
And, at no extra cost to you, nor your country:
Each 2008 September 11th Silver Leaf Coin-Certificate comes with a Certificate of Authenticity confirming it’s non-circulating Liberian legal tender currency, struck in .999 pure silver leaf. Each is individually numbered. Earliest orders get the lowest registration numbers.
Number 911 wins a signature of the 911th person murdered on 9/11…
God bless America…

Yep I’ve seen this advert on cable. Classy Eh? The only thing missing is a battery compartment so it can flash red white and blue while playing the Star Spangled Banner.

It’s from Liberia, not Libya. Coincidence that you don’t know that difference and can’t spell terrorism? I think not.

It disburbs me that no one knows WHERE the money is going OR the theory that NONE of the money is going towards the families of those who died during the 9/11 tragedy!

For the Love of sanity why do they beat this TO DEATH! No crap we will never forget…between news, made for tv specials and all this garbage to commemorate one of the worst attacks on the US how could we? Now looking at us world wide we look like the collective Drama Queen of the world.
Learn from it. Correct the mistakes. Move on and heal.

Why should any of the money go to families of people killed, aren’t the millions they’ve received so far enough? The one thing is this coin isn’t worth 10 cents. It is coated in silver leaf which is about as thick as a wet surface after you wipe it with a damp cloth. You are paying $20 or more, see shipping and handling cost, for something that in 100 years will probably worth 50 cents.

Just make sure you check how much 20$LRD (20$ in Liberia) is worth in USD : 0.38$USD.
To in 100 years, it won’t even be worth 50 cents, it’s not even worth it now!
