Credit Crunch: Halifax Makes Positive Move

CREDIT Crunch Watch: Anorak’s look at credit crunch in the news:

“Crooning banker Howard Brown has been axed from the Halifax ads because he is too cheery for the credit crunch” Daily Telegraph

Goodbye Howard, You came. You sang badly in an effort to get people to get into debt. You went, perhaps, to get a new job dancing and singing as people have their homes repossessed…

  1. 1 MrsT Says:

    Hoo bloody ray!!!!!

  2. 2 chenier Says:

Axing him from the ads is too good for him!

Just ax him in the neck…

  3. 3 Saul Says:

    Perferably live on TV

  4. 4 coco Says:

I liked Howard! A lot! I used to sing along to the ads with him. Extra, Extra!

He made me feel less guilty about the fact that I had a huge overdraft with them - Because they were too stupid to realise that I couldn’t afford to pay it back - So they kept giving me more and upping the overdraft!

Now what will I do! What can I sing now when my Hubby asks where I am getting all my spending power from?
