Smiley Miley & Hannah Montana Land On London
DESTINY Hope Cyrus, aka Miley, aka Hannah Montana, is upon us.
Says she: “I love London. I love all the cool buildings…Even the little things you guys don’t think about I think are totally awesome.”
In case you missed that, Destiny is American. And in case Mirror readers missed it, Destiny’s words first appeared on the BBC children’s show Newsround.
Destiny’s father is Billy Ray Cyrus, the man who bemoaned his Achy Breaky Heart, the man who sang “You can tell your ma I moved to Arkansas”. Dad calls his daughter Miley because she is so smiley. (Anyone else feel a follow up hit looming?)
And Destiny is in London to promote her Hannah character, which began life on TV and has moved into music and fashion. Hannah is aimed at six to 14-year-olds.
(The plot: Fourteen-year-old Destiny plays schoolgirl Miley Stewart, a normal girl by day but leads a double life as a chart-topping pop star by night. It’s the tale of two tweens. It’s Britney Spears in a chaste school uniform.)
Says Billy Ray: “You know the saying, ‘She’s got an old soul’? Well, she’s got an old soul and her old soul’s got a lot of soul.”
Billy Ray thinks his daughter’s music is terrific.
And very soon you will too.
As Peter Harte, of Top of The Pops magazine, tells us: “Very soon, you’ll not be able to escape her. DVDs, albums, singles, clothing. This is Hannah Montana’s year and she’s going to be everywhere.”
All tweens will want to be her. But not everyone can be.
Talent will out, but having a parent or sibling in the business can help – Hanna Montana stars Emily Jordon Osment, younger sister of The Sixth Sense star, Haley Joel Osment, and Mitchel Musso, whose “entire family” work in the entertainment industry as actors and musicians.
Expect to see tweens asking their parents why they can’t be famous? And why dad can’t be more like Billy Ray…

i have just turned 15 and i think hannah montana is a hilarious tv show and i love all the disney stars who are tweens and teens miley, emily, mitchell and the sprouse twins r my faves i love how normal n down2earth they r even tho they r stars !!! I think miley will be a sucessful singer actress after hannah montana and i will keep watchin!!!
Billy Ray is a cool n gud dad 2 her i sumtimes wish my dad were as cool as that haha

I love all the characters on the disney channel i expecially like hannah montana cause she inspires me at my age which is 11 and i want to be a singer and actress on disney channel also tto inspire people. I think they are all really nice because the lessons they teach really help me a lot. I watch their shows all the time even the repeats and i know all the songs of by heart. I think hannah montana can really influence peoples lives and help them to be true to their friends I REALLY LOVE DISNEY CHANNEl,(raven cody and zac, high scool musical, raven miley- everyone there) and i really want to find a way to get there and inspire people not to be famouse or be loved but to help others. I also never miss the shows.
I hope It carries on to be loved like i love it.

I LOVE the show Hannah Montana. And with Billy Ray Cyrus also on Dancing with the stars. That is the best show ever. I dont really have a favorite character. Jackson is so funny. The dad makes so much sense. Miley is well she’s really awsome. I also love anything in Disney Channel. suite life of Zac and cody, Cody in the house, etc. I want to be like Miley always inspiring people. I Lon=ve Disney Channel!

Hi I’m Lara and I Love Hannah Montana! I like That’s So Raven aswell and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. My favourite character has got to be Miley Cyrus! I especially like the episode where Lily screams in Miley’s face because she’s got 2 tickets to see Hannah Montana!

I absoulutely love Hannah montannah she is a fabulous singer. When i grow up i want to be just like her.I also love her friend lilly trusscotte i think there both really preety and i would love to meet them. That is actually my secret dream. I would like to go and see her in London, i would do anything to go and see her live. xxxx

I watch Hannah Montana Too with my kids its a good clean show with a great sence of humour, I also brought my daughter (8 years old) the CD for christmas but I have since took it and its now in my car witch I sing along too (badly) on the school run!
This show is one of the best on telly for life lessons as well as fun to watch.
