Madeleine McCann: DNA, Robert Murat And Paedos
“MADELEINE: NEW DNA CLUE TO KIDNAP.”
Odd indeed that amid all the public spectacle and voyeurism there is front-page news of the criminal case.
The Express says: “Detectives believe that they have found the DNA of Madeleine McCann’s kidnapper.”
Now DNA, modern policing’s smoking gun and bloodstained overalls, has been located at the crime scene the villain can be brought to justice. And, maybe, Madeleine will be found.
Suspect Evidence
DNA belonging to six people was found at the McCanns’ apartment. There are five McCanns. A Portuguese police source says: “There is a new suspect. This could be vital evidence in the search for Madeleine.”
But who is this sixth person?
The Express says it is a stranger. And they really do mean a stranger. The DNA sample does not belong to Robert Murat, suspect number one, the only suspect. A spokesman for Murat says he “welcomed” the new evidence. Tuck Price says his client is “anxiously awaiting the chance to rebuild his reputation”.
But Murat cannot go just yet. The Express says he has been warned he could still face charges over pornography found on his computer. Mud sticks. And in itself the DNA proves nothing.
So who is the sixth person? This is a vital clue. Right? A source at the Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal laboratory in Coimbra says: “It is an important step in the investigation but the truth is that the DNA cannot be matched with any records. The evidence is very vague.”
So the police have DNA but no idea what to do with it. Indeed, the only people who could be cleared by this apparent breakthrough are Robert Murat and Russian “geek” Sergey Malinka, who has been questioned by Portuguese police.
The Express says the “best hope” is to pass it over to British police. As the Express notes, the UK has the world’s largest DNA database, “which includes the records of known paedophiles and anyone convicted of a sex crime.”
It also features the DNA of people who spit on buses. It is very thorough.
Meanwhile, the papers are focusing on the McCanns latest press conference.
Speculation And Paedos
Gerry McCann says: “We pray that she is being looked after and it is someone who wanted a little girl for their own who would look after her very well.
“We also pray that the person who has her gives her up voluntarily and drops her at a church or a safe place.”
Right they should keep the public focus on the story. And appeal for help.
But why should a journalist ask the McCanns if they think Madeleine has been kidnapped by a paedophile? Why does Getty McCann feel obliged to say: “It is a more upsetting scenario than any other. We have considered all scenarios as everyone has”?
What do we learn from that? The evidence is being gathered but the speculation remains rife. And we are watching the parents…

Very good to read that an approved centre has been used by the McCann family lawyers to check DNA and find no evidence of Madeleine in the car. Kate has been very wise to be checked out for drugs and to have the twins checked. They now have proof that the malicious rumour mongers are exactly that. Malicious, and very twisted.

Panorama sid that the retired policeman’s allegations re “swingers ” was NOT based on evidence. It was disgusting MISCHIEF. Does Jane only hear what she wahts to hear so that she can be indignant without just cause?

I agree with Jane. There is evidence against the McCanns. You do not leave 3 children alone and go out for dinner even if you go into the hotel complex. Also I hear in Panorama that there are sex swingers. That means no morality at all. And with no morality you can expect anything from these kind of persons. To cover up the death of their child and continue to act as in a theater. Mrs McCann has not shed a tear!!! They are two cold people like cucumbers. The only thing I have to say is: Poor little Madeleine.

I fully agree with Jane. There is too much evidence against the McCanns. I really feel sorry for little Madeleine. I followed her story since the beginning and I cannot understand how on earth parents leave 3 children alone in a room and go out to dinner even if they had dinner inside the hotel complex!! I also heard in Panorama that they are sex swingers. This means that they lack morality and from persons with no morality we can expect anything, even to cover up the death of their own child.

“Too much EVIDENCE against the McCann’s” is exactly what there is NOT. There is too much malicious gossip and speculation, especially from Amaral of PJ fame dining out on it, with journalists listening. Then there was the retired Portuguese policeman being completely disgraceful on Portuguese TV two days after Madeleine went missing starting off a WITHOUT EVIDENCE smear campaign. The list is endless. Judges of body language do not provide proof of anything. Looking for Madeleine should still be the most important concern of everyone with an ounce of compassion

When the McCanns hired the suspect car, does anyone know if they were given any ‘tip offs’ or advice on where to go to hire it or what sort of car to hire? I do definitely suspect that the abductor is linked to or part of the tapas 9 group. Having 3 young children and a 3 year old myself, I cannot see how the McCanns are guilty of anything more than just having a ‘peaceful’ meal and send them my best wishes and hope and pray all ends well.

Maddie’s parents left their children alone everynight to go to the Tapas bar!!! This is truly irresponsible and set up a pattern for the abductors.
One other of the wall comment: no one has addressed body language ! For example, based on body language studies Gerry was lying when asked if they ever sedated their children. Liars often touch their face - example: pulling ears, rubbing nose.
Also if the McCann’s are part of a cover up it probably started with Gerry — he was the one hovering around his apartment before Kate found Maddie missing.
BUT no one really knows what happened and if this is a typical abduction poor Maddie ended up with a paedophile and was murdered within days of being abducted. And if she is buried in the paedophile’s backyard no one will find her until he is caught.

She quantified it by saying that most Brits on hols would be wearing 3/4 length trousers and T shirts. She was wearing a sweater - she was cold - so what. What was unusual was the fact this person was overly dressed - therefore she noticed him and, most likely a local - why - because he was overly dressed.

During the Panorama documentary JT thought it odd that bundleman appeared overly dressed
for a sun-drenched holiday resort. She then contradicts herself, mentioning how cold it was that night and the fact that she was wearing a jumper herself because it was so cold.
I actually cringed on hearing this and vaguely detected that she may have done also, after realising what she had just said!
Also the noise Kate made when talking about the “predator” making his move troubled me somewhat.
I’m not sure how to interpret this, so I’ll leave it to you lot to make sense of it.

Havng watched the Panorama documentary on the case last night, the tapas bar is
defnitely NOT like eating in your back garden’ as Gerry McCann kept saying, at least in earlier interviews. In fact they seem to have a soundbite for every question its always ‘lovely’ Madeleine etc. etc. The Mcanns are just far too polished to ring true.

Jane, exactly what evidence is there against the McCanns? If there were evidence against them they would have been arrested and charged.

Portugese people say that the Mcann familly are getting preferencial treatment over their dreadful situation because child disappearances are commonplace. What I woul say to that is this - They (Portugal) should not be part of the EU until this unacceptable acceptance of child disregard is addressed. I personally think that the Portuguese cops are shitheads and are a bunch of cowboys - sorry for the lingo but I would love to see Maady back home —– praying for you Maddy.

These parents should not haved left their children, but at some time all parents do this sort of thing,BUT they have paid for their mistake over the past few months…….How could anyone subjected to the publicity they have STILL CARRY ON IF THEY WERE GUILTY one or both would have broken down before now and why engage top solicitor/QC to follow their case…they are risking their home, family life with relatives etc………….and also Kate has a father who has been seriously ill and if she is guilty then I feel she is risking her own fathers life too he does not look as though he could stand such a shock……..they have suffered long enough…I personally was against them for leaving their children as I waited ten years for my two girls having lost eight babies at different levels so I do not make this decision lightly………….Have some compassion!!!

I thnk there is too much evidence against the McCanns for us not to suspect sedation annd accidental death, followed by a cover-up and possible help from a third party or parties to dispose of the body. We were all horrified that these 3 small children were left alone and that’s where the first questionmark about their character emerged.

Have the MaCanns been driving a hire car that was previously used by the person who abducted little Maddie? This would account for the DND found in the boot.
Who was driving the car at the time of Maddie`s abduction?
This question is so obviously important that it should of been swamping all the newspapers but I have not seen or heared it being asked anywhere at any time.

Is it possible that seeing as Sergey had such a good view from his appartment..I believe overseeing the centre of the site..I may be wrong..would it make sense that maybe Sergey and Murat were in internet contact in the hours leading up to the disappearance and this led to Murat having to phone Sergey from a mobile when he became cut from his connection whilst outside..and so creating the pursueing question..what did they say to each other? Is it reasonable to suspect that even if the pair hadnt spoken on the phone in 3-9-12 whatever months that they could quite easily have been in touch via the internet like msn for example..Im probably wrong but Im suspicious as to why anyone in his situation(Murat)..that is a suspect..would refrain from giving out information on possibly the one bit of suspicious evidence the portugese authorities have on him..why woulndt he try tie up this loose end?

Hmmm. I’m very sympathetic to the illiterate, especially in my own country. But I’m more sympathetic to persons who are trafficked like chattel and so I’ll pass on making contributions for anything other than passing laws to stop human trafficking and child abduction for sex.
I have not contributed to the Madeleine McCann campaign because my thoughts are if I contribute to one I should contribute to all. There are A LOT of missing children out there….. so if this campaign to find Madeleine leads to making better laws…then I’m there.

It is strange that Sergey erased his computer. And I wonder about the timing of it all, was someone dining near the couple or one of the restaurante staff observing them taking turns going to the hotel room to check on their kids. The timings seems a little too perfect. Or were they over heard earlier in the day.

Eileen, your speculation is certainly warranted, and I commend your research. I think that we, as the general public, will be kept in the dark so to speak, until which time there is a major break in the case, and it looks like they (meaning the investigators…Interpol…) have already closed in on the criminals. I am believing they know alot more than we realize. I doubt very much, that information would be made available to the public, that could be detrimental to the privacy needed to solve this case. These creeps are known as “underground” because that is where they dwell and thrive. They are pros at what they do, and I am certain this was a well thought out, and meticulously planned abduction. It is so very sad indeed.

I thought this was an interesting article out today regarding a Morrocan family whose own daughter was kidnapped and they sold what little they had to pay a ransom but ended up in pure poverty.

If you want to get involved on a small level, there is a program for preschool children which costs what a ‘latte’ would cost $3.50 per month. While the parents are trying to make a living & have no money to send their child to any childcare facility or babysitter, at least they are at school. Trafficking is high in this area. I think funding schools, orphanages & womens groups,educating adult males & females how to read & write(something we take for granted) and sponsoring a child to receive a good education. I have emailed the Canadian governement that we need to have ‘Literacy schools’ around the world in poor areas in every continent where adults don’t know how to read or write. I think adults who don’t know how to read or write end up just surviving, maybe farming if they are lucky for a time. Or they join a government military or militia & are easy to believe propaganda & see no other option than to join crime because they can’t get a job without know how to read or write.
I am looking for a another good program to contribute to in Africa & South America, please let me know it any of you know of any you could recommend.

My earlier Post of 18th May. Robert Murat left Portugal for a few days The Mirror 16th May. London-born Murat also repeatedly went in and out of the family’s holiday apartment, potentially contaminating the crime scene. He helped co-ordinate initial searches and within 24 hours of Madeleine’s disappearance had told locals she was wearing pink pyjamas.Days later, Murat is believed to have returned to the UK to visit his former wife Dawn and their daughter Sofia in Norfolk. Have the police checked Robert Murat’s travel details when he travelled out of Portugal for a few days including if he had anyone travelling with him, the possibility of a child similar to his daughter and being treated as his daughter. Could he have taken Madeline with him as his daughter if she is so like his daughter he could have got through the passport check with the child being treated as his own if his daughter is on his passport. It is a possibility.Are we sure that he went directly to England. Surely his travel details should be checked.
This reminds me of the 11 yr old Robert Houlihan from Middleton in Cork when the killer Wayne O’Donoghue helped in the search, visited Robert’s house and assured Roberts mother that he would be found. He only confessed when Roberts phone was traced and his body was found.

They bring groups on Expeditions from Gibralter to remote islands off the east coast of Africa in a ship originally named “Seahawk Remamed “Naomi Corlett” in 2000.
Mirror 18th May. He was also linked to a business in Lagos offering boat trips in the Mediterranean and to North Africa.
If I were the McCanns I would have a private detective travel on that ship and to the islands that it visits.
Mirror 17th May Local reports claim Malinka disappeared from Praia da Luz at about the time Madeleine was plucked from her holiday apartment. Malinka is the third friend of Murat to be interrogated. Murat’s German girlfriend Michaela Walczuch and her Portuguese husband Luis Antonio were held.
It is strange if Malinka had nothing to hide why were his computer hard drives wiped clean when the police took it? I would be at a loss if I wiped mine clean.
Why were he and Murat in contact by phone at 11.30 PM the night Madeline went missing if they were only business contacts?
Where did Murat go when he hired the car , he could have had Madeline in the boot or God forbid her body for disposal similar to Huntley and Wayne O’Donoghue.
If these people are innocent forgive me for all the speculation but every suspicion has to be eliminated.
So concerned for Madeline and her parents.

Excellent comments by all of you. I don’t know that I can toss in much that has not already been said. Except to you Maria, I would also like to get more involved now, on the level you are. I have been idle too long, and I want to contribute to making a difference in whatever way I can. Where should I start? I mean apart from what I have been doing to help with Madeleine’s safe return. I also report online abuse to the proper places. But at the provincial and federal government level, what can be done? And what can I do? I’m in Winnipeg btw.
This is a refreshing change from some of the bashing sessions I have been reading on other news forums. Great commentary.
