Gordon Brown And Rubbish Taxes

It’s a decent pun on Gordon Brown’s tax on household waste. And the pay-as-you-throw tax will be dumped.

Trials of a scheme to tax householders who throw away too much rubbish are to forge ahead, Downing Street has said.

The Mail, of course, didn’t say which rubbish tax Brown would dump, only that he will…

    Wish they’d give a rebate for those who recycle stuff –hey - would that include NuLab? After a launder and a spell in any High St. charity shop they could emerge as - drumroll -the NuTory

    You might have some problems in convincing a judge that this was your intellectual property; s/he’d probably point out that pols have been doing it since the dawn of time.

    I thought that Rubbish Tax referred to the recent decision to tax the lower-paid sector of society more harshly by abolishing the 10p rate, henceforth to be known as The Prole Tax.

    How can you have a Rubbish Tax, isn”t the removal of rubbish what we pay the huge Council Tax to include??????
