"The best political saying I have heard come out of the election so far is." Democratic dilemma, who do you vote for? The nut with two boobs or the boob with two nuts."

received this this a.m from a friend in Elephant Butte, he's opting for McCain as the lesser of the 3 evils

Agree, the Pax America was a bit of a damp squib compared to the Pax Britannica.

The same principle though; the systems of commerce and trade set up by the Hegemon eventually overtake them as the satellites begin to use the system more efficiently, apart from the law of diminishing returns, wars of choice rather than necessity and etc.

I wonder how long the Chinese one will be, and if indeed Napoleon was right so long ago with his quote about sleeping giants...

Clinton is a heartless PR robot, a product of the Democratic party machine, so in that sense this run has similarity to the 1971 McGovern candidacy for "change". The problem is that often once people get change after a while they want a change from that, like with Neo-Labour.

Apparently China is a one party state, and that makes them less democratic than us, lol I love that delusion in our reportage...

Goodnight Hilary probably sounds better to West Virginian ears than Goodnight Obama, but then I thought he was the one who had already said Goodnight Hilary
which would mean that he was still up for President

The problems for politicians who do God ;)
OBummer in West Virginia :(
But there's still hope for change we can believe in, hopelessness for the future.
And still hope for the virtues of Habit, Hope and Hilarity - and the greatest of these might still be Hilarity?
in Goodnight Jim-Bob Walton country which candidate will say goodnight first? ;)
