The same principle though; the systems of commerce and trade set up by the Hegemon eventually overtake them as the satellites begin to use the system more efficiently, apart from the law of diminishing returns, wars of choice rather than necessity and etc. I wonder how long the Chinese one will be, and if indeed Napoleon was right so long ago with his quote about sleeping giants...
