Hail, Snow And Drought To The Chief: Barack Obama Warms Up
SAYS Barack Obama: “We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK.”
Is 72 degrees the optimum temperature for eating? If it is, perhaps the heat could be adjusted and America’s feeding frenzy gauged. It might turn out that Oprah Winfrey, a leading Amerian eater and Obama acolyte, eats less fat at 79.2 degrees.
In which case, expect her to go long on SUVs and champion global warming with gusto.
Says Obama: “That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen.”
If by leadership, Obama means setting the example, he’s got a point. Few Britons know what a SUV is, let alone how to get one. Although there are rumours that Roman Abramovich has one on his yacht…

The problem isn’t what percentage of the world’s energy the U.S. uses. The problem is that the world doesn’t produce enough energy. Supply and Demand. Here in the U.S. we need big cars to get our big families and our big butts around our big country. Mass transit will never run well to the middle of Mechanicsburg, PA.
I will drive whatever I want and set my thermostat where ever I please. The earth will be fine. Trust me.
