Captain Sparrow was responsible for a lot of otherwise normal guys wearing eyeliner, but even so I managed to forgive him.
I’m not sure where he stands on the question of moose, though…

I thought they would have picked up on the “Meet me in St Louis” angle.

Ah yes, you’ve obviously met them too, though not, I hope, in a Turkish jail.
It’s not nice of me, but I’m deriving a degree of pleasure in reading the hastily composed odes to hedge funds being churned out by hedge funds.
At some point it may dawn on the general public that all the cr*p about it being the toxic loans isn’t what we call in the business the ‘truth’.
The subprimes amount to a trillion or so, and the credit default swaps amount to $60 trillion, and it’s the losses on the CDSs which are breaking banks.
Makes being a Somalian pirate look like an ethical career choice…

Saul, I did say he was an outsider.
He’s making a late run, but you are obviously right in concluding that the chances of anyone snatching the title from the guy in pink are fairly close to zero.
And we don’t even have a picture of him, which might nudge the odds in his favour. But anyone who can announce that demanding a $20 million ransom on a shipload of tanks is ‘protecting our natural marine resources’ has probably been studying Clarrie’s press releases…

Big hair is about to become a substitute for big ideas.
“Meanwhile, still on the question of freedom of speech, an outsider in the race for most ludicrous spokesperson ever, Sugule Ali”
Most ludicrous? Are you sure C—–r?

Too right, Saul, and Sugule Ali has got a leading role:

Now, if you’d only had him with you in Turkey it would have been so much easier…

I didn’t know you had to hold the damn thing down before you shot it; maybe she could see off the Russians after all…
