Heartless Liberalism: Obama’s Coal Smackdown
BARACK Obama is a soft touch, right? Well, no:
Newsbusters.org notes another example of Obama’s liberalism with an inhuman face. In a January interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, which no one seems to have noted until now, Obama boasts that his policies would produce bankruptcies:
If somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.
Unlike Obama’s throwing his aunt under the bus, this cannot be explained away as politically expedient. An American Coal Foundation chart from a few years ago shows that the 10 biggest coal-producing states include the key swingers of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado and Indiana.
Hey, he might not be handing our free gas and homes after all.
Of course, Obama has done nothing yet. As his wife said in 2004:
‘It’s Too Early. He Hasn’t Done Anything Yet.’
Let’s hear it for heartless liberalism…

I think you should go and lie down somewhere, Anorka; the excitement is getting to you. You seem to have overlooked the fact that we already live in a country in which a politician destroyed the coal industry, and Newsbusters.org is totally silent on the subject.
Admittedly this may have been because the Web didn’t exist at the time, but that is no excuse for sloppy reporting; they could have sent a team over here to report on what happens when politicians decide to close down industries…
