The BNP Is The Peta Of Politics
THE BNP is trying to appeal to the Jewish hippy demographic with a poster of Jesus Christ on the cross and a quote from John’s Gospel (John 15:20) in which Jesus says: “If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.”
Of course Jesus was nailed to a cross, and the BNP’s leader Nick Griffin is worried about being attached to an Islamic star. Says he:
“The British National Party is the only political party which genuinely supports Britain’s Christian heritage. It is the only party which will defend our ancient faith and nation from the threat of Islamification.”
Islam has a five-pointed, star, so creating a threat that Griffin will be nailed to one by his two hands, two legs and either his head or some other part of his anatomy.
Of course, state and church should be divorced – it being the Church of England way. So here are the archbishops of Canterbury and York urge the public not to vote for the BNP at the forthcoming European elections.
The statement from the Church of England House of Bishops, Dr Rowan Williams and Dr John Sentamu runs:
“This is not a moment for voting in favour of any political party whose core ideology is about sowing division in our communities and hostility on grounds of race, creed or colour…
“The temptation to stay away or register a protest vote in order to send a negative signal to the parties represented at Westminster will be strong. In our view, however, it would be tragic if the understandable sense of anger and disillusionment with some MPs over recent revelations led voters to shun the ballot box.”
This is the Church telling people - religious and secular – who to and who not to vote for. They go on:
“Those whom we elect to local councils and the European Parliament will represent us and our collective interests for many years to come. It is crucial to elect those who wish to uphold the democratic values and who wish to work for the common good in a spirit of public service.”
Democracy means voting for who you want to vote for.
But while a media debate goes on, the BNP get lots of coverage. The BNP is turning into the Peta of politics, those self-styled spokespeople for dumb animals whose stunts are all about sensation.
Look out for Nick Griffin saying he’d rather carry myrrh than go naked and the BNP using images of people who have no interest in their bigoted cockeyed cause to promote themselves…

whilst i do not suport or condone the bnp to try and deny them a platform to express their views is not the answer. We cannot condone the denial of free speach. Their views are not agreeable but are not illegle. If we abuse their liberties we only pander to the bigots - of both sides if they abuse this and break the law punish them for doing so but lets not cwnsor free speach. let them make arses of themselves aamd allow the general public make an informed opinion.

…moderation….. again?………is this democratic, Anokrak?…
May 25th, 2009 at 6:15 pm
…the issue is democracy and that is why the BNP will always be a small party because those who don’t believe a word they say need not resort to abuse or violence…we can just vote for a party that is British…with brains.

The issue is democracy, the Church of Engelbert are irrelevant in the 21st C and the BNP are as valid (if not more valid following the Iraq/Afghan shiite and the expenses cr#p) as the other parties and should be allowed to campaign without threat of physical/verbal violence.

Mark, too right! Bloody Romans. What have they ever done for us. Coming over here……………………………………….

The BNP must take heart from seeing that large numbers of the British public are being fed on bin loads of PR & spin daily and seem to believe most of the bullshit they are being force fed…..so if they too tell enough pork pies why should,nt people believe in them? They will probably win a few seats in the coming elections and claim it to be a huge victory… but the truth will be that they will never, ever be in power and will remain a little fringe party that will always be in a minority.

from the BBC
“On a European election campaign poster, the BNP has used an image of Jesus suggesting that he would vote for the party.”
I think the BBC don’t get satire

The Church of England were strangely silent over the endemic abuse/rape of irish kids by their Roman counterparts in Ireland. I wouldn’t let any cleric near kids!
The liblabcons have had their fill at the trough - time to slaughter the pigs at the ballot box.

I fear they will matter if Cameron does not put his house in order. I am talking to die hard tories considering a protest vote in the direction of the BNP. But then that’s dies hard tories for ya!

It’s great PR - get people talking about a bunch of bigots as if they matter…

Do you think so Black Bob?
There will be some people who vote for them, but if it was a choice between BNP and a spoilt ballot, I would spoil my ballot. Happily, I don’t have to make that choice, we have a hardworking Independent MP here

The BNP must be growing in popularity then?

If I was a church leader I’d rather be in the BBC studio slagging off the BNP rather than standing in my own church gazing at the empty pews. Church leaders who kept their mouth’s shut over paedophile priests don’t have any right to contribute their opinions on political parties. The BNP are more famous than Jesus, and anyway, he’s not standing in the euro-elections!

The current misinvitation from the palace to Nick Griffin is a point, after all if HM doesn’t want him in her garden….
