I recently saw a documentary on T.V. where a girl was born with eight limbs and all the
villagers thought she was the goddess Lakshmi.. A renowned Doctor, from another
part of India heard of her and went to the village to see for himself. He told the parents
he could operate and remove two of the arms and two of the legs. the Parents went to the Hospital and after the Op which was successful, the family moved to another
village near the Hospital for Lakshmi"s recouperation. they will live there permanently
now because the villagers where they lived before feel betrayed that their "Goddess"
was made normal.
