Community Pigs In Bath

pigs-in-space Community Pigs In Bath PIGS in Bath. Says the Times:

A herd of more than 60 pig sculptures, above, appeared yesterday as part of a public art project. The King Bladud’s Pigs in Bath art initiative will eventually lead to 100 of the animals scattered across the city.

The white, life-sized sculptures will be painted and decorated on behalf of different communities and businesses across the region. Residents hope that the project will boost awareness of a 3,000-year-old legend, which tells how King Bladud founded Bath after discovering the healing powers of its hot spring waters while walking with his swine.

How long before some tabloid muppett calls a gurning loon and invites him to say how pigs are an affront to Islam, and that the pigeons he talks to in the precinct are so much pure?

I know they’ve had problems with the Spa, but surely pigs are more associated with mud?

On second thoughts, pigs in mud is probably the latest spa treatment…

    Yes.

People would miraculously recover from whatever ailed them in order to avoid ever having to drink it again.

As for the chaps, oink oink…

  4. JuneJohnson Says:

    Perhaps miraculously survive the experience?

  5. yampster Says:

Do we know it was pigs. Perhaps he had a particularly ill favoured wife

    Painted statues of pigs eh?
We had cows one year and dogs the next. This was unfortunate for our German Shepard who went after one of them and broke a tooth on its concrete leg, she really doesn’t like other adult dogs.
On the positive side, she likes people, babies, puppies, cats and parrots.
