Well, Justin, when daddy is playing golf, you collect the ball from the first hole and then the rest of the kids will pick up the ball from holes around the course. OK, sweetie?

Isn’t this the family that has been on a TV series - was it cheaper by the dozen? Cor, how does she do it. She looks so young and the husband too. What a family tree this one is.
Reckon this is not the last one.

So long as they pay for their education, their health, their food, their clothing, their housing, and receive nothing from the state…

How incredibly selfish these parents are. They care more having kids than what they are doing to the kids they are having. They short change the children by home schooling them and not providing very much individual parental time. They use God’s
will an excuse for not being responsile individuals.

God Bless the Duggars! What a wonderful beacon of life in a society that promotes death through contraception and abortion! The culture of life will prevail since the culture of death is making sure it exterminates itself.

Who are we to judge them. They are not on welfare. They teach their children values they believe in and they instill the concept of family. Yeah, it seems like a lot of kids to “modern” American society but if they are not harming others, what does it matter?
May 12th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
We are people NOT animals. A Doctor needs to let this women know what she is doing to her body. Its not right to ask the older children to “help” raise the younger ones. These poor girls are learning to be baby making factories. She is soon gonna be at the age where she can no longer care for these children. Then who will?
May 12th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
They receive nothing from the state, and don’t even have any debt- not even from their house. If they can’t afford it, they don’t buy it.
I agree that these kids are naive, but if that’s the worst they suffer, good on ‘em. I would never have that many kids, but they take care of the ones they have. Not for me to judge.

Sho-
If you would have researched the family you would find that the mother doesn’t work, and doesn’t have to. The family does not borrow money for anything they have, They built their beautiful house with their own hands, with money they earned. Buy vehicles with money they earn, and are not on welfare or any kind of assistance. As for Ken, I guarantee those kids have more love in their life and more education than half the kids in public, and private for that matter, schools in the country. Those kids are beautiful, well behaved children that all of us could learn a lesson from.

Anyone critical should take a look at themseleves and ask “what’s wrong with me?” that I would think my way is better than theirs. Thank God we live where we can live without being told how to live. Happiness comes in many ways. Congrats to the Duggars for finding and pursuing what makes them happy.

As anyone who’s watched their shows on Discovery Health (yes, Michelle does see doctors and she is very aware of her body’s health) would know, these children have constant nurturing and love from their parents, and the world as their classroom. They are constantly in the community serving others, traveling, playing with other children, exploring political life and different careers, and just having plain family fun. They are some of the most socialized and well spoken children I have ever seen. To expect children to help out in a family used to be the norm–now our culture is turning out children who cannot hold down a job when they’re grown because they were trained to be lazy, selfish, “entitled” people. The Duggar children are being taught to be caring, productive members of society. If a couple can raise this many children in such a manner, we should all tell them “thank you”, not bad-mouth them for their large contribution to society. And, by the way, Michelle Duggar has her real estate licence and WORKS alongside her husband in that capacity, and WORKS harder than most of us could imagaine simply managing her household. A hard-working, self-supporting, loving, caring family raising their children to be blessings to all of us–how irresponsible!

I think it is wonderful and can’t believe all the stupid comments people make. They are a wonderful family and I only wish I could be so patient with my children.
May 12th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Ken, you’ve got alot more to learn about life.
May 12th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
I think its really unfair and irresponsible to have all these children. All the older children have to take care of the younger children while mom goes and has more. The children have to schedule time to be with there parents. I hope that the state is not helping this family in any way. These people want all these kids and that is there problem. They are teaching these young girls that they should just have alot of kids. I am sorry we are not in the early 1900’s where women have the babies and the men go to work. These girls should feel like they can and be anything they want and have a life of there own.
May 12th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
I just wish people with 1 or 2 children took as good care of them as the Duggers’do. This family owes for nothing, teaches their children well (all the children are smart and accomplished in many areas), sets moral and civil examples for them to follow, and sees that they have many opportunities to interact with others. I have never met the Duggers but I have great respect for them. If I had a concern, it would be Michelle’s health. But then, God is obviously in control so why should I be concerned. I wish them well and wish they would come to Tennessee to visit me. I would love having them as my guest.
May 12th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
Obviously some have not seen how wonderful these children are and they speak out of ignorance of the love these parents have for ALL their children.
These people are able to love so many children and they are to be commended and supported not told they are selfish as it is not even CLOSE to the meaning of selfishness to take care of that many.
God bless you Duggars - look forward to seeing you on TLC again and love the re-runs.
Oh and that mother works -
May 12th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
No they are not on Government help, they are doing this all on their own. They invested and saved wisely. If they are taking care of the kids on their own, I think its a grea thing. I don’t see any of their kids doing drugs, involved in gangs, or anything else bad, they are really truly good kids and I wish the best for them.
May 12th, 2008 at 9:53 pm
WOW, i can only hope that these parents have enough love and time to spend with there babies, it looks like they are doing great but i hope physcologoically they are growing up okay, it apprears to be babies raising babies, i am sure they are a very close knit family without debt(?) i ask my self being a single mother of four how that can be bt that isnt the issue,
if you can love them and feed them and provide for them physically, emotionally and financially then i praise you and wish you all the love and luck in the world
