Rhett Lamb Hasn’t Slept For Three Years
A FLORIDA TV broadcast highlights 3-year-old Rhett Lamb has a rare medical condition that prevents him from sleeping:
Rhett has never taken a nap or gone to sleep at night, forcing his parents to keep watch day and night.”(My husband) has the day shift and I kind of have the afternoon shift,” mother Shannon Lamb said. “We share the night shift because no one can sleep in the house when he is up anyway.”
Lamb said she is working extra to pay for Rhett’s large medical bills. She also said her husband, David, has given up his job to care for their child.
Eat your heart out, David Blaine, you too Keith Richards. And Gordon Brown, who should try counting Gordon Browns.
No joking matter. So sensible suggestions only as to how Rhett can get to sleep to the usual address…

You’ll have to make them quick; the boy has had surgery which, with luck, could soon turn him into the sort of person who falls asleep whenever politicians appear on the tv.

just to correct everyone. this child sleeps 1-2 hours a day, up to 3-4 hours drug enduced with melatonin, no-one ever said he did not ever sleep.

THANK YOU, AND TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE…OUR SON HAS HAD 2 FULL NIGHTS OF SLEEP SINCE THE SURGERY, HE IS HEALING VERY WELL. AND YES, AS A RESPONSE TO EVERYONE, OF COURSE I’M SLEEP DEPRIVED. BUT I AM OPTIMISTIC, I’VE ALWAYS HEARD THE PHRASE “CATCH UP ON SOME SLEEP”. WELL I THINK IT MIGHT TAKE US A LITTLE WHILE TO DO THAT. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR KEEPING HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS, WE STILL HAVE A LONG ROAD AHEAD.
