Vet Sticks Hand Down Shark’s Throat
EXTREME James Herriot:
An Australian vet has saved the life of a shark by sticking his arm down its throat.
The three metre (9.8 feet) shark had had a steel and aluminium gaffe hook stuck in its stomach for two weeks.

‘As a vetinarian you often find yourself putting your hand in places people find unattractive’
Right! OK, there are worst places than sharks’ throats…

I left £140 at the vets today, didn’t even see him, or have a dog with me, just their monthly meds, the total is actually £166,but needed Harry’s Rimadyl last week

Candidates, please turn over your papers now, and look at the first question.
‘Given a choice between
a. sticking your hand down a shark’s throat, or
b. sticking your hand in Mic’s wallet
which would you prefer? Please illustrate your answer by reference to the difficulties of the two separate actions.’
As your tutor I am unable to assist you in dealing with the content of the questions, but I would counsel you, in a very general way, against taking the Mic…

Both would risk the removal of your hand at the wrist.
Allegedly

Apparently that may be so, but I couldn’t possibly comment…

Good for him. Makes a change from reading about the usual gung-ho attitude towards sharks in Oz!
Silly youtube clip here that makes me laugh every time. Especially check out the kangaroo!
