Indian Students Banned From Wearing Jeans
IN Uttar Pradesh, India, colleges have banned female students from wearing jeans and other Western clothes.
Why? Meeta Jamal, principal of the Dayanand girls’ college in Kanpur city tells AFP
“Girls who choose to wear jeans will be expelled from the college. This is the only way to stop crime against women.”
Yes. The only way to stop women from being sexually harassed is to pass bylaws restricting their freedoms. In India, sexual harassment is known as “Eve-teasing”.
Might it not be better to ban the men who make unwelcome sexual advances? Or make these men wear tight jeans and mini skirts?

I once asked an Asian work colleague (born here but of Indian descent) why women weren’t allowed to pray in the mosques.
He looked at me like I was stupid and explained it’s so the men don’t have to look at women’s bottoms when they kneel over to pray.
Obviously the women’s fault then

…why India is, and will always remain, a 3rd world country, despite its aspirations.
the frightening thing is that countries with this sort of backward and irrational attitudes are sitting with their fingers on a nuclear bomb…..
