Muggers Caught On Google Street View
GOOGLE Street View is not just for porn. In Holland, police have arrested twin brothers on suspicion of robbery after their alleged victim spotted an image of them following him on Street View.
The teenager says that last September he was pulled from his bicycle and mugged. Then surfing the web he saw the faces that looked familiar.
Because pictures on Street Views are not all in focus, police asked Google for the original photo.
Detectives recognised the youths and a case is now underway.
So you see, you have nothing to fear from Google so long as you are innocent. Right? (How’s that, chaps?)

Sounds just like that story in the Sun a while ago about the Range Rover.
Which I see is mentioned above.
On the link, it says a detective recognised one of the twins. Not identical then, lol!!

Hurrah! Another happy Big Brother story to show how grateful we should be that someone watches over us.
A cynic might suggest that either streetview had some negative publicity just lately, or this was a pre-emptive piece.
The relevance for the streetview pic is if it provides the necessary circumstantial evidence that places perps at the scene. Remarkably convenient though out of several zillion shots it would be surprising if there was nothing like this.
That same cynic might also ask
1) is it normal for someone that age to carry so much cash?
2) had he just sold something or changed his mind about buying something?
3) did they happen to know he was carrying so much cash?
4) if the twins are so notorious, complete with their own super-big criminal file, how come the local police didn’t spot the possibility, given the description and mug-shots they had already?
5) more to this than meets the all-seeing eye etc…
But I’m not cynical like that other person who is absolutely not me because I know that Big Brother loves us all and Google is our friend, oh yes.
