Princess Diana’s Circle Of Tears Drops
THE Circle Of Tears, the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, is sinking.
Bob Munroe, billed in the Mail as an “engineering expert”, says the fountain should be rebuilt from scratch.
“It’s a disaster,” says he. “Hundreds of litres of water [tears] are leaking away every day and as a result it’s causing subsidence and making the paths rise and buckle.”
This rebuild would mean more expense, which seems fitting for the woman who is now centre stage in £10million inquest into her death.
And where there is Diana there is opinion. A spokesman for the Royal Parks Agency says: “The fountain is not an engineering disaster. It is not sinking, subsiding or leaking hundreds of litres of water a day.”
This one could run and run. Look out for a Daily Express (“Is Diana crying?) and Prince Philip with a sledgehammer…

Jeez. Perhaps one day her killers will stop this saga of the concrete guttering, rip it down, and put up the statue that everyone wanted in the first place. Her life, death, and Camila earned her that right.

What a thought…..cor!
Something good has to come out of all the work that was put into the WaterWorks though.
A sign,,,keep out, for sightseeing only.

Great idea, Diana’s Contemplative Garden -surrounded by landmines so that little children can’t wander among the close-planted beds, scratching themselves on the sharp thorns and nasty prickly leaves, or falling into puddles and drowning amongst the landscaped undergrowth.

The Diana Memorial should be removed and a garden with her favourite flowers should be made, with a fountain in the middle, with seats for people to sit on and they could call it the garden of contemplation, Diana liked peace and quiet and time to think.

Sounds about right

The last time this memorial was in the news was when it was reported it was rather too dangerously slippery for the public to walk into and enjoy. A barrier was erected to keep the water-loving Diana fans away.
I thought then that perhaps if it was surrounded by landmines, it would keep the public out of slippery-paddling-danger AND be another fitting memorial to Diana.

Another example of a fortune being accumulated and disposed of by the establishment when the majority of people contributing hoped to have a lasting, tangible memorial for Diana, in addition to supporting her charities.
