What’s foie gras? Oh yes, Charles gathers seeds and puts them into the cuffs of his trousers, so he always has a few on hand to add taste!!

Its goose liver pate. The geese are force fed until their livers are immense,so big they cannot walk, and then killed and pate made. There have been campaigns mounted to stop this barbaric process, and this is very good news.

I once bought a beautiful tiny gold goose pendant in the Dordogne. The goose is a local symbol you see everywhere there, for horrible reasons.
Sadly, a gold goose was the only one I could rescue.
Disgusting. I know most of us couldn’t even afford the stuff very often, if at all, but I’m glad Charlie is doing at least something right!

He’s doing the right thing - foie gras is cruel.
