“CHERYL,” advertises the Star’s front page. “Well, would you cheat on her?”
Cheryl is Cheryl Cole, wife to vomitous footballer, Ashley Cole. The question is to Star readers. Would you cheat on Cheryl?
The answer is on Page 7, and to get there readers have to make a perilous journey.
On Page three, Scylla and Charybdis, aka Porchia and Hayley, pop up to take off their tops and pull on some stockings. “You’d have to say yes,” runs the headline. It’s a leap year and women can pop the question. And the question is: “Would you cheat on Cheryl?”
Pages 4 and 6, and it’s a view of Prince Harry in Afghanistan. Would you cheat on Cheryl with Harry?
Female Star readers need not reply. The answer can only be “yes”.
The Star’s male readers can look on with a mixture of envy and curiosity. There is also a picture of the doe-eyed Chelsy, Harry’s lover. Sleeping with her might be the next best thing, lads.
And then Cheryl is upon us. She is “thinner than ever”. She is “frail-looking”. She is wearing an “oversized pair of sunglasses”.
So would you cheat on her?
