Its sad that some people judge the appearance of a missing child and say unkind things. Shannon is not photogenic but she isnt ugly - just a kid. Her mother is a young woman who looks like her life has been tough and with 7 kids she probably has little time or money to spend on her looks. Most mothers of missing children are too distraught to worry about their hair, make up, earrings etc!

___________

M and A

So one would think.

Hopefully this all might signal the end of the age of celebs and cosmetics, and get down to some reality
The worsening financial status of the country may end the fantasy too

Cheryl,

Thank you so much for your response!
The policeman well recognised the license, the only thing I can guess is that he deliberately did this (ticket) knowing that we have to leave and will not be able to come to court to dispute.
Were told in the court that the fine can be paid instead (and they even agreed to change the matter from "driving no license" to "not shown the license", but today told again that attendance is needed!
Would the lawyer come to court (there will be no way to check it...)?

Sorry to bother you with that, just Mrs. Watson is in pieces...

What a lovely, sensible and reasonable sentiment, Candy. That's exactly what the McCs should have done to retain the respect and confidence of the public they are currently duping, IMO.

Dr. Watson Says:

March 7th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Could anyone from US help please?

Sorry to be off topic - If a court appearance is needed to the US local court(the ticket says so) following a motor accident, is it possible that some representative comes instead of coming in person (a fine was issued for a driving offence that has not been committed)? Ple-please, nobody in the UK knows! The policeman looked at the license, gave it back and issued a fine for driving without license! Unbelievable…

_____
Contact a lawyer in the US and see if he'll go in your stead or file papers for a postponement for you. Are you sure the ticket doesn't give you the right to pay the fine instead? Do you have a foreign license and the policeman not recognize it as such?

The most recent news is that Mari Luz's body was found floating near the oil tanker dock in Huelva. She was wearing the pink tights she was wearing the day she went missing and the body was at "an advanced stage of decomposition". She had a heavy blow on the head. That, in summary, is about it for the moment. Terrible news.

JO :

Specialist dogs have found blood in a bath in the cellar at the former care home at the centre of a child abuse investigation in Jersey.
Cellar of former children's home

The dogs indicated to two different spots within the concrete bath in the first room in the cellar at Haut de la Garenne.

Police in Jersey said: "Presumptive tests for blood have given a positive result.

"However, it must be stressed that although the presence of blood in the bath corroborates the allegations made by some victims, there could also be an innocent explanation.

"The blood will now be forwarded to a laboratory in the UK for further examination."

The investigation team is likely to gain access to the second cellar next week.

Police have confirmed 100 people claim they were abused at the home.

A total of 25 people are suspected of sex crimes and physical assaults, including senior members of staff and a former politician.

The remains of a child was found buried in a stairwell at the former children's home last month.
