The Problem With Immigrants Is They Are Too Good
“PROOF that immigrants are taking British jobs,” says the Express which has a graph to prove it.
The line for “UK-born workers” is going down. It is black. The line for “foreign born workers” is going up. It is white.
“Should migrants be barred from taking British jobs?” asks the Express’s phone poll? The paper’s Tom Whitehead awaits your call. “Yes” and he stays. “No” and Sanjay Walesa becomes the paper’s Home Affairs Correspondent.
Meanwhile, over in the Telegraph, readers learn that “the percentage of working-age, UK-born Britons in work fell from a peak of 75.7 in 2003, the year before European Union enlargement, to 75.2 in 2007. Part of the fall could be attributed to employers directly replacing British workers with migrants, particularly in agriculture, factories and low-skilled service-sector jobs.”
Could be? Could be not? But the best line has to be from Prof Rowthorn, a Cambridge University professor who uncovered the findings. He says “the most likely victims were British-born school-leavers who had never had a job, having failed to find the kind of casual work they might have walked into a few years ago”.
The claim will fuel a political row over the prospects for a generation referred to as “Neets” (not in education, employment or training).
The professor said: “We are looking at the most vulnerable, least skilled and in some ways least motivated members of the local workforce. The problem that eastern European migrants pose is that they are good workers.”
That’s the problem with these foreign born workers – they are too ruddy good. What we need to is lower their productively and reduce their skills. We need to level the playing field.
We need to re-educate them…

Trainer I agree to a large extent with your post. You can always find people from different nationalities who are prepared to do a fair days work but these regular put-downs of white English citizens only cause more friction in society and are unacceptable. Report say young white boys from sink housing estates are worse off in “modern Britain”. New Labour seems to have long forgotten the working classes but they clearly are a rock bottom party where real morals are concerned.
So foreigners are so impressive,eh? Well, they are in terms of numbers in Britain’s crowded prisons. Nigerians and Jamacians are high on the list among prisoners.then you have Somalians, Romanians and Bulgarians seem to think the UK is a paradise for stealing and are filling up many a cell.
Where does loyalty get you in Britain today when so many companies want to hire foreigners for cheap labour.
The new terminal 5 has been a bloody disaster from day one. I imagine that a fair amount of foreigners are employed there but did that stop it being an almighty cock-up?
A brazilian buddy of mine visted London, Oxford and Brighton in January and stayed at a hotel in Brighton where all the chamber staff that he met were Russian. He told me that none could speak English.Hotel owners in the UK are only interested in the next bum on the bed and don’t really care too much who they use as long as they are making a big profit every week. The British people are being politically manipulated and lied to by their own government. There certainly MUSTbe some foreigners who ARE better than Brown and Nu Labour .

Wonderful! Let’s impose comprehensive education on the whole of Eastern Europe - that will sort those pesky Poles and Hungarians out in a generation or two, just as it did here. Just as you sow shall you reap, folks.

Fed up with people making racist remarks about the English, it seams ok to slag off the white English as lazy. Just think of the rumpus if you were to stand up and say the afro Caribbean’s were all lazy……….
Who wants all the eastern Europeans in this country…..employers who want to pay low wages……..
Why do they work hard …because they are only here to make and save as much money as possible, spending as little as possible before taking all the cash back to eastern Europe…..every £50 note taken back east is £50 England is poorer.
And if anyone wants a racist remark discuss just how trust worthy any eastern European is

Don’t have a go at the professor. He’s not having a go at the immigrants. He’s stating the possible - or probable - reason why employers take them on. If it’s a criticism of anyone, it’s of the British workers.
