Britain’s Got Talent: Dwarf Sinatra Impersonator Charlie Green
ALL hail Charlie Green, vying with Pie Jesu singer-du-jour Andrew Johnston to be the winner of TV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
Here’s Charlie singing Summer Wind, billed in the Mail as a “Sinatra classic”.
That’s right, it’s the classic Fiona Sinatra tune that you can’t quite recall. The melody goes like this: ta-ra-ra-ra-ta-tum-tum-ta. The lyrics go like this:
The summer wind, came blowin in - from across the sea
It lingered there, so warm and fair - to walk with me
All summer long, we sang a song - and strolled on golden sand
Two sweethearts, and the summer wind
What odds that Charlie is not really aged 10 but Little Frank, a dwarf Frank Sinatra impersonator who has struggled to get work ever since bigger Frank faced his final curtain?
Charlie runs the risk of exposure, but if he is found out we advise him to say that he striking a blow for the little people, that he was bullied at school and how he’s trying to win for his three little kids, all of whom are ill…

That’s not satiric.
That’s probably the truth.

it’s a good point though, that every week there seems to be one of the BGT auditionees with a sob story to tell - I read the other day that apparently the mother of the angelic voiced schoolboy has now admitted she over-egged it to get the sympathy vote and that they don’t live on a run-down council estate but in quite a nice area… what’s the point in all this - I thought it was supposed to be all about what they did on the stage - silly me!!!

Old blue eyes must be smiling down at Charlie from above.
