Amy Winehouse Is Off Her Headbutts On Pub Crawl
AMY Winehouse has hit “ROCK BOTTOM”.
So says the Sun’s front page, which pictures Winehouse trying to see her eyebrows without a mirror.
Inside and: “Crazed Amy hits 2 men, trashes bar, snogs bloke, smokes drugs in street then has taxi row.”
Readers not up with the music scene may wonder what it is about Winehouse that marks her out for special treatment, her night out being pretty much the norm for us all. Throw in a kebab and Winehouse’s antics would be a fitting tribute to St George’s Day.
This is Winehouse’s 8-hour pub bender, says the Star. It’s her six-hour pub crawl, says the Mail.
Moroccan musician Mustapha el Mounmi is playing pool in Camden Town pub The Good Mixer. Says he: “She smashed my face hard. I could not hit back – she’s a woman.”
To Bar Tok. The Mirror sees Winehouse aim a headbutt at a man in the street. He recoils, momentarily knocked bandy by the fumes of hairspray. Inside the bar and Amy gives full throat to: “I am a legend, get these people out. I want to take drugs.”
She hails a cab, presumably not her father’s, and arrives home with her legs dangling from the window, notes the Star.
She has no keys. So Pete Doherty’s Babyshamble’s bandmate Mick Whitnall gallantly helps open her garage door.

Very gallant of Mustapha! That’s just what people like Winehouse count on while they rampage around London. “I’m famous, nothing will happen to me!”
Try that in one of the more ‘rustic’ bars around here and she’d be slapped silly and tossed out on her ear. Probably straight into the arms of a sherrifs deputy who would not be impressed by her ’status’ and take her directly to jail (not passing Go).
There are some good things about America.

Amy Winehouse beating people up? Why don’t I believe that? Oh, Yeah.
She’s about 5 feet, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 100 pounds, MAYBE, after a meal.
Were all these guys singing show tunes and using the word fabulous, a lot, by any chance?
David, stop being so delusional. Celebrities get away with murder in the states, literally.
And by the way, the pubs she allegedly was at are plenty ‘rustic’ to use your word and slapping someone silly whether they deserve it or not is a good way to meet the sheriff’s deputy yourself.
There are PLENTY of good things about America but the celebrity worship there is not one of them nor is the violence.

Yes Stan and Michael, they do get away with things. I’m talking about the reactions of ordinary people in some of the redneck hangouts and biker bars I frequently play in with my band. I’ve seen many instances of instant retribution being extracted on obnoxious people by drunken loonies who act first and think last, and no one goes to jail. The bar owners usual reaction is to toss everyone involved out and threaten to call the cops. Only they dont because every police call counts against them when it comes time to renew their liquor licenses. Basically if no firearms are involved no one cares.
In this enviroment you watch your step.
It’s different out here in the ‘heartland’ as they like to call it.

Of course, probably beside the point of the story as I still have a hard time believing Amy Winehouse beat someone up. Seriously, what fruit admits that a fun-size jazz singer hits hard, unless maneuvering for a little extortion? By the way, what time is it where you are? It’s after 7:30 P.M. here.

even a flying fist from a pint-sized drunken junkie can hurt if it lands, I should imagine - and she’s got form for lashing out - see the photos of Blaaaaaaake’s scratched and scarred face….. what a mess (both her and his face)
