Since my daughter Rosie was a baby, she has always come everywhere with us when we go on holiday, especially to child-friendly countries such as Portugal, Spain and Greece. We wouldn’t have dreamed about leaving her behind to go for a meal because we go away to spend as much time as possible together as a family.

I wonder if the McCanns were as casual with their passports and valuables when they went out at night because as far as I am concerned there is nothing more precious than your child and they appear to have had scant regard for their safety.

In Greek tragedy, Antigone, the daughter of King Oedipus, cannot rest until she has recovered the body of her brother after his death in battle and given it a proper burial. One suffering leads to another. And there is some of that obsession, and that remorselessness, in the case of the McCanns.
But:
Do the two doctors really deserve two whole hours of prime-time when so many other people’s kids are lost and thousands are dying in Zimbabwe? Even those, like me, who have never doubted Gerry and Kate’s innocence must feel a flinch of unease.

I cannot believe these two parents haven’t been charged with the neglect they so sorely deserve.
Hopefully that’s all they will be guilty of.
They are in the news again today, enoughs is enough now charge them and imprison them for the neglect.
Take them to the States and lie test them, I bet they fail either way charge them for the crime that is ‘in ya face’ child neglect it’s quite ridiculous these people are weening peoples sympathies when in all honestly they should be made an example of, it’s pathetic Britain.

what a crock of s*it!!!! never in a million years should you leave a child of 3 with twins of 2 on there own and not be accountable of it!!!!NEVER EVER!!!! I am at a loss to see who is to blame other than the parents. WE BRING THESE PRECIOUS BABIES INTO THIS CRUEL WORLD(i have 3) WE SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR THEM!!!!

Madeleine Beth Mccann: missing since 03/05/2007 - 4 years old in 2007; disappeared from the Ocean Club, Praia da Luz, Lagos, place where she was spending holidays with her parents. The disappearance occurred in a time when the child was left alone inside the apartment. Madeleine has a brown birth mark in the back of her left leg. She has coloboma (a small mark in the iris) in her right green eye, the left eye is blue and green.
Remember her, she’s the little girl that went missing.

Kate and Gerry McCann are deeply hurt by the “disgraceful” way in which tourists are making tours to visit the spot where their daughter Madeleine disappeared, a friend has said.
Scores of people favouring “ghoul tourism” are turning up in Praia da Luz each week on unofficial tours to visit all the places which have become so well known since the little girl vanished almost a year ago.

remember, they also told gerry they weren’t suspects.
