What I don’t get is why she didn’t fight back. If it was me locked in that basement with the evil b@$t@rd trying to do things to me, I would have fought him and fought him and fought him and if he was going to kill me, I would’ve been like, Go Ahead! I’d rather be dead than raped constantly and impregnated by that sicko pervert. I wish it was legal to take him out somewhere and have him tortured, or locked in his own cell and have some guy go in there and have his way with him every night. With the same threat.

Let’s be rational, do we want to be blamed for what a dictator in our country has done or has ordered to do on his behalf? Even democratic countries may and have engaged in war inspite and against a majority’s emotional vote. Fritzl’s life is worthless to me. Death is too good for him, too swift and painless, and life in prison will not suffice. Elizabeth was once a child, and damage to her encompasses many levels. And what about her three companion children? What a shock to discover a world beyond their walls. We are still to discover if the captive children were aware of the rapes, and did they know he was indeed their father. The “upstairs” children must now be as confused , and feeling betrayed by their “daddy” gramps. May he suffer forever after.

Indeed would they know exactly what rape was? Elisabeth may have kept intentionally silent so as not to alarm them. It seems so confined down there and whatever went on was ‘normal’ and routine to them.

Fritzl has the psychological profile of a NAZI in line with the most cruel SS :

-creating his own concentration camp at Home
-threatening his own prisoners of gas extermination.
-father of his own CREATURES, he did for his himself, [ and his crazyness]-was he making his RACE?
- treating is CREATURES like slave and prisoners responding to all it’s desires.
- burning a dead baby in the incinerator of the heating system.
- had absolute domination in the upper house on members of his family, ruling with terror…and we dont know maybe his accomplices..
- unlimited desires of control over human beings.( sexual, repression, …)
-organised precisely every technical details, he even had legal right to build his unground camp…
-felt normal
-rejected all common morality.

Austrians are feeling today accused of nazi mental sickness, it’s certainly extreme to accuse them collectively, but as GOLUSA (6) said, 3% of the germans were nazi, that was far enought to lead the world to Hell…and Austria did provided a lot of concentration camp guards…

Fritzl was 10 in 1945, was he influenced by the time where Aryen murderers felt at home in Austria ?certainly. …

The Nazis have nothing to do with this; and anyway the Austro-Hungarian Empire was notorious for it’s spies and secret police - so the roots of the problem would lie there, not in the Nazi era - if you were going to be racist enough to blame an entire country for a sex crime.

I think he was just a nasty, vain, controlling misogynist (and they’re all over the place). (It’s a horrible idea that he was planning to release his daughter because she wasn’t attractive anymore…)
