That would be the right sentence. So some lawyer must do it. Unless he simply pleads guilty and asks for mercy, "insanity" is probably his only option. In the US, insanity requires the defendant show that he does not know what he did was wrong. Fritzl has already admitted he did know what he was doing was wrong.
