Official documents in Portugal show that the police there have not yet ruled out bringing such charges. This hardly feels like a positive step in either finding Madeleine, or discovering what happened to her.

Which still begs the question, why do they need a spokesman, particularly now, when they have sid that they want to withdraw from their high profile in the media. What is Clarrie actually doing ?

Clarence doesn’t get paid by the McCanns…… he receives nothing from them, his salary is paid by his employer (Kennedy) who has seconded him to help the McCanns.

Willo….. Kennedy is a very ‘common’ name. (I should know) .
Brian Kennedy is a billionaire and felt sorry for them. Its all relative….. we all give money relative to our income to all kinds of charities / causes that take our fancy, (well I do) and paying Mitchells salary (£75,000 pa) is peanuts to him, isn’t it?

Anyone else read Minette Walters book “The Breaker”- Must read!
Not off topic - fascinating story about a murder - and a 3 year old girl who was kept drugged using paracetamol only, Father worked for a pharmaceuticals company.
I couldn’t put it down.
Some of the story was vaguely familiar in view of the last years events.
Anyone else agree?

I have been avidly following the case from Australia alternating between this site, the macaanfiles and the 3A’s. Thanks everyone for your informative input and theories. The last 2 days the 3A site seems to be down…………… sorry if this has already been discussed but can anyone give me any information as to why?

If he DOES bring the McCann case up, to me it would be quite tasteless and I would imagine he is not allowed anyway since the case is ongoing.
By the way, a couple of days ago I was browsing 3a”s and a few of the regular posters
were anxious about Nbrado (is that right, one of the Moderators I think) and bjr said
he was in discussion with N trying to sort things out. Maybe it”s Nbrados ball and he
doesn”t want to play anymore so is taking his ball away?

I think it was more of a rolling Contract, linked to Metodo 3, because how would anyone know last June that the Pj would ask for 2 extensions? I tell you, this all comes back to the supposed generosity of BK , whose role in all this is , shall we say is
not as it seems? IMO of course.

to uncover all this, many of the original perpetrators would be dead by now.
