And so, your Honour, if we follow that through, the setting up of the fund was an act which may have been designed to deceive, particularly since at no time did the McCanns ever say to the public who gave so generously and ingenuously, that there was no proof that their daughter was alive. Specifically the evidence from other sources, including the highly efficient cadaver dogs, lead many thinking people to tend to the view that she was not.
I am therefore compelled to withdraw from this brief.

The couple must IMHO know that Maddie will never be found so it is all systems go now, films, suing whoever whenever, and there will be great makememoney going on. All we need now is someone to break loose and spill the beans, and won’t that be something.

I don’t really think so, people would want MM to be the heroine, and she has seemingly disappeared forever and a day….the sunset scene on her parents wouldn’t be the same.

Do you think the interested has shifted from K&G then, and is far more focused on Madeleiene? She is of course the only one that matters isn’t she, wherever she is. Remains are often found many years after someone disappears though, and if Maddie has been buried, do hope this will be the case. IMO my hope is that one of the group will talk too much.

Lyn, I think interest has just drained away. I think J Hogg has tried to shift the focus back but Iam not sure too many people will read all her words.

Scarlett, I think J Hogg has skillfully made a statement most people can take heart from.

Just a few thoughts……..All my opinions………

Maybe the 81 pieces of evidence were in fact needed to create a time line of where everybody was when the sightings were made. If they were false sightings generated from the camp to confuse and waste police time it would make sense to set up alibis at the time these sightings were made. Maybe in the early days the records of who in the team reported what and where were lost or not transcribed. It would help them place themselves away from ip addresses, std areas where calls originated from etc. Just a thought.

Also I thought Justice Hoggs address seemed a little like a personal plea to one person. One person with religeous beliefs who is struggling with his ‘Justification with God’. This brings to mind the local Priest (one of a few Priests who make an appearance) who early on said he was tricked or some such thing then went missing and dropped off the radar. The papal backing disappeared too. So I reckon…IMO… the Priest and maybe the Pope and his advisors know a little more than most and Justice Hogg has decided to put the pressure on the church, maybe with advice from the PJ and the British police, to hopefully get the cloth to cough up! One could swap the word ‘person’ with ‘priest’ in her address.

‘I ponder about that person - whether that person has a heart and might understand what it must be like for Madeleine to have been taken and secreted from her parents and siblings and those she loved and felt secure with.

Whether that person has a conscience or any feeling of guilt or remorse or even cares about the hurt that has been caused to an innocent little girl, and whether that person has a faith or belief and what explanation or justification they might give to God

Another thought……..I’m in New Zealand and regularly listen to talksport .co.uk on the net. They made headlines of “McCanns cleared by PJ’ (which made me scramble to Anorak) and I don’t doubt a lot of other media reported the same thing. I just wondered if any of these media has since corrected that statement.

Although I think justice will be done one way or another it is slightly worrying to read, hear and watch the crazy reporting on the whole affair. You would think that one news paper, TV or radio station out of all of them would have a reporter focusing beyond the spin and give the common people a true indication of where the case is and true analysis of what really is going on. I know that what I read on here helps me see a lot that my TV, paper fueled Aunty can’t. She does not like my theories and thinks I’m twisted for even entertaining the thought that there could be a major cover up of manslaughter or murder. She is adamant the PJ are at fault as are all her friends at church. This all via various bias reporting and spin that goes unchallenged.
What I’m saying is people need access to balanced reporting. Which I fear is lost. If this case is anything to go by what else are we being force fed?
