Madeleine McCann: The People Analyses The McCanns’ Holiday

mind-reading Madeleine McCann: The People Analyses The McCanns HolidayMADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann

THE PEOPLE: “WISH SHE WAS HERE”

EXCLUSIVE Maddie in parents’ hearts as they take the twins on first break without her. Moving pictures of holiday brave McCann family thought would be impossible to bear

The People has no little power and can look into the minds of the MCCanns and actually see what they are thinking.

For Kate and Gerry their three week trip to Canada could hardly be anything but a painful reminder of what happened in Praia da Luz in May last year. And Maddie did not leave their minds for a moment.

Fact.

Not for them the excitement and anticipation of other holidaymakers.

Fact.

Not for them the promise of time free from the stresses of workaday life.

Fact.

Norah, sister of Kate’s dad, said after waving off the McCanns: “They had a lovely time, very relaxing. It was all about them getting away. They really enjoyed being away from the spotlight. We spent a lot of time at the beach. The beaches here are beautiful.”

Fact.

‘During their stay in Canada the family are also believed to have met up with vicar’s wife Susan Haynes-Hubbard.

Her husband is minister at the church in Praia da Luz where the McCanns prayed each day. Canadian Susan became a tower of strength to Gerry and Kate in the days after Madeleine went missing from the family’s holiday apartment.’

    sounds fishy to me

  15. 15 jo Says:

How prompt are the media in shelving the case!
I think they count on people”s selective reading to manipulate them.
The case cannot be shelved because Madeleine is a missing person, isnt she?
Has not Pinto Monteiro, Attorney General of the Republic, requested from the judges to “decide whether it is necessary to make further inquiries or whether the process is ready for final clearance?
I cant see anywhere the case has been shelved…only in the media both portuguese and british…..
    woof woof

    Brandon
Keela & Eddie are spending their hols with me…..I have prepared their bedrooms, stocked up the fridge with salmon(I heard they like tequila) and ensured the doors and shutters do not shut properly

It will be interesting to see how soon the holiday snaps are leaked to the newspapers. Bet none have been lost this time! Wherever this couple go in UK they will be noticed whether they like it or not. Also, they have the money now to buy big in Canada, and may have a better life over there too. It would only be a matter of time before things turn awful for them in UK. IMO.

  23. 23 jo Says:

    DuncanR
    I knô…errr.. you knô
I know “some” wish it was closed to avoid to make justice to Madeleine

  24. 24 Gandolf Says:

That’s the new “in word” in Portuguese press Duncan “closed not shelved.
Seems like all these leaks are deliberate, the Portuguese authorities conditioning the populace for the case being binned………what the fuk is going down here, someone knows something, I’ve declared myself I think the priest and his bosses know something, but from where and about whom is the sixty four dollar question.

  25. 25 jo Says:

    21
    âde

Well…Ted will have to put up a real shelve,Âde, because it comes with the set.Go to the pub and have no worries. Its all under control

    Photoshop jobby
They will be living in hell wherever they go,Lyn.It does not matter where they go,what they do…..shuch has become their miserable lives and the twins life,we must not forget them….

  27. 27 âde Says:

    22 lyn
i agree about the escape plan and the fact that they will soon be hated universally in the uk so will need to do a runner
i love canada - been there several times
there is one problem in the scam though and that is selling rothley towers
they will not get a good price in the present housing market climate - even if they can find someone as odious as them to buy it and want to live in it
and then there’s the problem of the garden
    what if someone starts digging…
    such fun we have

  28. 28 lyn Says:

    jo 26

The Mcs have only brought it upon themselves in they have to live in hell wherever they go. My concern is for those twins as it looks like they will be told untruths as to the whereabouts of Madeleine, and poor little kids, they will still be waiting for her to come back. When they get older and understand more, they will not trust the parents. There will always be a question mark too over that family with the MCs being regarded as suspects in Madeleine’s disappearance. A sad state of affairs for those children. IMO.

  29. 29 jo Says:

    27
    âde

We must not forget that ket has “seen” Madeleine
Who would want a haunted house? and as you say….if some enlightened people start digging who knows what they could find?

  30. 30 lyn Says:

    28 ade

Oh yes, what a mess there will be if someone starts digging. Of course, one would be surprised if anything was found. The Mcs have enough in the bank from the fund to buy, and will probably rent out the Rothley place, or turn it into a sightseeing thing, perhaps a restaurant or something, if allowed. In Canada they will have the Vica’s wife but probably not much else as they will always be viewed with suspicion. Yes, the twins won’t have much of a life poor kids.
