Madeleine McCann: Angelia Jolie’s Changeling, Oakely International And Belgian Paedos

mccann-mads-300x225 Madeleine McCann: Angelia Jolies Changeling, Oakely International And Belgian PaedosMADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann

MAIL On SUNDAY: “McCANNS’ FUND IN £500,000 CHAOS.”

A team of private investigators working behind the scenes to find Madeleine McCann has been axed after being paid £500,000 from publicly donated funds.

Metodo 3?

The Find Madeleine Fund quietly engaged the services of a US-based company which was awarded the lucrative six-month contract earlier this year. The company, Oakley International, which boasts former British security service and FBI contacts, was hired to monitor the Madeleine Hotline, carry out detective work and review CCTV footage of possible sightings of the missing girl around the world.

Like Metodo 3. And the police?

A source revealed that the company had also spent resources in an attempt to infiltrate a paedophile ring in Belgium.

A risky endeavor. Did they find any paedos?

However, the company’s contract will now not be renewed. The Mail on Sunday has learned that double-glazing tycoon Brian Kennedy, who has been underwriting the fund’s search for Madeleine, has conducted a review of the agency’s work and has become unhappy with the progress it was making.

What progress. A child is missing. And they have no idea what happened to her.

INDEPENDENT: “McCann fund ‘paid detectives £500,000′”

Cheaper than the police operation, though.

DAILY STAR: “JOLIE’S SUPPORT TO MADDIE MUM”

NEW mum-of-twins Angelina Jolie wants to set up a meeting with the mother of missing Madeleine McCann.

Is our Maddie in a Vietnamese orphanage? Ange has been moved before.

The nightmare of Kate and her husband Gerry was brought home to the Hollywood star while shooting her new movie Changeling. In the film, she plays the mother of a missing child who becomes the focus of a massive FBI search.

And what happens..? Hey, let’s not get some cheap PR for a new film. Steady…

The friend added: “Angelina and Brad are really struck by the way her parents have moved heaven and earth to get the world on the look-out for their little girl.

“I think Angie just wants to give Kate a hug and say a few words of support from one mom to another. She doesn’t pretend she possibly knows how Kate feels but she does have an inkling now and she realises the absolute nightmare the McCann family is going through.”

Pray for Maddy. Pray for all of us…

  5. 5 sam Says:

gailen was it you who made that interesting observation that much was spent on top lawyers and much was spent of crappy detectives ?

  6. 6 Marie Nicholas Says:

Since there is a new thread, I bring my post from the last thread into it.

Did you read Esplendor de la Foma this morning? Nothing really new, but some interesting bits though. It seems that the photos taken by the tourist were sent to a center of protection for youth which closely collaborates with the police. The lawyers who contacted the toutists and offered money for the pictures wanted the tourist not to make comments on the pictures publicly before the lawyers would agree to that. Duarte Lebvy, who is said to be French by the way, saw the pictures. They could show KM might have left the table at a time during the dinner, since she might have changed clothes, which wouldn’t be possible if the first time she left the table was at 10, when she gave the alarm. But my Spanish isn’t excellent, so it would be interesting if someone who speaks it fluently could help.

One thing I don’t understand, is apparently some say it took time for Jane Tanner to make a statement about Bundleman, and from the PJ files, it appears she talked about him to the police as soon as the 5th of April.

  7. 7 Marie Nicholas Says:

Thank you Châtelaine for telling me about the “call for tenders”.

  8. 8 sam Says:

marie n, no i haven’t read that yet. yesterday i was thinking about the piece you had translated for us, in it it states that the paynes child had been ill on and off all day and i wondered if maddie had been ill with the same bug too. re the stament, yes, at first there was just this eggman sketch which the pj did not want to release, well i think hardly suprising consdiering what it looked like, i don’t think theres many people walking around looking like that, do you ? then later the mccanns comissioned an artist to make the bundleman picture and they rleased it. i read that on gazeta digital. i wasn’t quite sure from the reading whether the release of it was wsith the sanction of the pj or not but it seems the lp wanted nothing to do with it it was certainly though a privately funded sketch released over the media.

  9. 9 Marie Nicholas Says:

Yes Sam, I read that too. I can’t understand why it is not easier to have a clearer picture of the whole thing. It looks as if false leads had been spread one after the other. Everytime I think I got something that I can relie on, I read sometinh to the contrary.

About the release of he sketch, to me it seems obvious that it isn’t relevant. The sightings are so vague. They picked anyone who looked a bit strange, while abductors usually look normal. Anyway, in the very few cases when a child has been abducted by a lonely predator while sleeping, the body has been found somewhere around very quickly. Those people act on the urge of their sudden lust, and usually kill their victim. But if it was a gang who kidnaps little children for paedo rings, their henchmen look as normal as possible of course.

    Isn’t that gloomy?

    ****
You mean, as normal as a father carrying his daughter home from the Kids Club…? Gloomy indeed.

  11. 11 sam Says:

it is gloomy yes. i agree with you to the often reading something to the contrary but i think with time it’ll make sense. i also thought that when it suited advice from the pj was ignored, ie the promotion and marketing of madeleins colobama, not sure if that’s how it’s spellt. but when it came to questions re, for instance the lack of showing emotions, that was apparenlty because they had been advised to do so. a lot of contradictions. i agree with your take on ther predator and i dont think it’s feasible that such a person would’ve killed maddie in the apartment and then taken her body away to hide it. i don’t know what a henchman would look like but i’d presume they wouldn’t look too odd or like a tramp.

  12. 12 Gailen Says:

    Not me, Sam.

  13. 13 Marie Nicholas Says:

Anyway, tose leads were explored thoroughly and gave nothing. Mistakes or intoxication, whatever, they have been ruled out. Something else will have to be found.

  14. 14 sam Says:

i don’t know who said that then gailen, but it appears like that. top lawyers, crappy detectives.

  15. 15 June Says:

    Sam

As I recall it , someone else was paying Clarrie’s salary (not the Fund) Several hi- profile money bags were providing funds to pay for lawyers provided there was no involvement by the McC in MM disappearance. The rewards were being funded by several others. And the Fund itself was for the family to use to in order to find , recover Madeleine and minor living expenses/flights etc. Anything left over was to be held by the Trustees and turned to charitable Funds for other missing children

except it seems brian kennedy was paying for this new firm, not the fund. and clarences wages. you know, its not expensive to set up a website, or register a domain or get thousand of posters printed. i think i even saw you had to pay to download posters, but i could be mistaken on that. the wristbands and tshirts, they had to be purchased. some flights were sponsored. i read mark warner did not present them with a bill while they were staying there.

  23. 23 sam Says:

wages would be quite an expense, some of the trustees gave up jobs to manage the company (the fund is a limted company) and i assume, then, would be drawing wages from the company’s fund on a monthly basis.

—————————————————————————–I could never understand why the wristband thingys and poster downloads had to be paid for yet again as they had already been paid for by what was already in the donated fund …..it was after all imperative for them to get M’s “image” dispensed urgently!!

one manufacturors site offers ballons and writsbands. 5000 ballons will cost about 400 pounds. wristbands are about 30 p each. on the madeleine store the wristbands they sell cost 2 pounds each.
