She a brunette. And, as reported, she and one Ariella D’Gamo were “sleeping on the streets before a friend took them in. The worried pal took the eight-year-old girl to cops in Lagos, Portugal. She is now staying at a children’s home.”
How does Madeleine McCann fit in?
Bysh fled the resort — near where Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007 — but collapsed with kidney problems in Portimao 15 miles away.
That close, eh. Yesterday the incident was 25 miles from where our Maddie went missing. Such are the facts.

You mean Rose Ron’s grandfather who told police that he had killed the 4-year-old?
What more of their Maddie?
At its heart lies the bizarre love triangle in which little Rose’s grandfather fell in love with his son’s young bride and fathered two more daughters with her. Police say the grandfather has admitted killing the child and dumping her in a river, but no body has been found and there is no forensic evidence proving her death.
Just like our Maddie, then? It’s uncanny.

Yes but that was earlier when it was LIGHT. It doesn’t mean Jane Tanner could determine colours with the same degree of accuracy later when it was DARK.

I had thought that the ‘Lady in a Purple Dress’ was seen at 8.15 pm, prior to it getting dark.
Sunset in Lisbon on 3/5/2007 was 8.30 pm; I doubt that PdL would be radically different….

Your words are ambiguous to say the least. The “guy” (Jes Wilkins) went out at 8.15/8.30 to take his young son for a walk in his buggy. At that time it would not have been dark in PDL. If Jes saw a woman in a purple dress at that point, visibility would’ve been far better, there would have been some daylight left.
His meeting with Gerry is said to have been around 9.10. By this point it WOULD have been dark, and the street would have been lit with a kind of sodium lighting that alters perception of colours. (That’s why a red-haired person looks brown-haired under street lamps.)
It’s also interesting that on the sketch plan Jane supplied to the PJ, Jes and Gerry were on her side of the road, and by the time of the McCannorama programme they had moved to the other side.

Very interesting point.
I have always wondered who put out those videos, and why - except to place M firmly in Portugal on that holiday.
I’ve also always been curious about the fact that staff at El Paraiso insisted Madeleine and family were there on My 3, when Gerry danced with her, and made a lovely family scene etc etc.
The McCanns insisted they WEREN’T there, and although staff offered CCTV film to police to say they were, the film was said to be “too grainy” to prove anything.
Could some other child have been mistaken for Madeleine?
Certainly, all photos of M supposedly in PdL are very dodgy, and show photo-shopping tampering.

I actually have a pretty good sense of humor (well, for an English teacher anyway), but I get so annoyed when people argue poorly. I believe your tactic is called a “straw man” argument, and it generally costs the debater points, because it almost never works.

I can see what pamela means….. everyone accepts that someone could see someone and identify that she was wearing a purple dress but that it would have been impossible for JT to identify the colour of the carried child’s pyjamas.
Actually the lighting there is quite good so both are possible and also the pathways are wider than than everyone seems to think so it would also be possible for JT to pass nearby to GMC and JW and not be seen.
No-one would have been aware of anything very much at that point in time.
But hey! I’ve said all this before!

Haven’t time to read today but was skimming through another site. I believe a death of a child took place in that appt but it is almost like M was never in Portugal. Remember the airport footage - M and another little girl? I always wondered if that was from a previous holiday. Then I read this from G’s statement.
They travelled in two separate groups, one composed of the interviewee, his wife KATE and their three children, DAVID PAYNE and his wife, their two sons and his mother-in-law. This group travelled from the airport local to Leicestershire and the other group, comprised of four adults and three children, from London. The meeting point was the Ocean Club in Portugal. The interviewee’s group arrived there at 14h30 on April 28th from Faro airport on an airport mini bus. The other group arrived the same day at 13h00.
Note that the only other kids in their group were 2 little boys. It would appear that they met the others at the Ocean Club. I think we all need to rethink this, starting before May.
