All Ethnic Minorities Are Immigrants
“’STOP new migrants coming in,’ say 75 per cent of migrants.”
The Star has seen a YouGov poll, which shows that a “substantial reduction in immigration” is “backed by three-quarters of ethnic minorities”.
Does it follow, then, that all ethnic minorities immigrants?
Surely not…

so when does an immigrant change status…? does it depend on a certain period of time or number of generations spawned? do ethnic minorities cover both immigrants and citizens…? and what about asylum seekers….??

I sometimes wonder whether it was worth inventing the FTL drive; at least when we were stuck at sub light speed it took so long to talk to Management about anything at all that we’d either killed each other, or made it up over a few bottles of whatever the synthesiser decided to inflict on us, long before the ‘my door is always open’ people stuck their oars in…

The Guardian is read on Europa, satellite of Jupiter, So I don’t think you would worry, Percy, about the opinions of those living upon moons removed from us by an unimaginable distance. After all, ex-pats in Saudi Arabia can vote on our leadership and governance, even though they themselves can’t enjoy a pint and a shag on the beach without something getting shopped orf.

sorry Anorak can you please remove my posts as they are irrelevant…..I don’t think eastern europeans are classed as ethnic minorities…yet…and so were never polled by YouGov……or were they?

If this poll had been taken in Poland I think the result might have given an indication to attitudes to immigration…..in eastern europe.

I wonder if this polls results have been contaminated by asking our eastern european immigrants about immigration .

It’s possible…just possible, that those who came here during the Windrush years may be so institutionalised by the rampant xenophobia inherent in the British psyche that they themselves now fear the Poles, the Turks and the (insert name of new country that once was a conglomerate entity artificially held together by distant Soviet might, but is now separate and warring like guard dogs in adjoining gardens with those who yesterday were their neighbours and friends) enough to join in the ranks of people who should know better than to fear the influx of new blood to a diseased entity that desperately needs an infusion of new blood in order to keep on living. It’s also very, very depressing.
[It's suppposed to be a 'T' shape isn't it - to do the job properly? Just cutting across the wrist is a half-arsed cry for attention, right? I just want to make sure, in case the situation gets any worse.]
