International Madeleine McCann: And Eye For Denise Pipitone And Finding Rose Pizem
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Italy’s Madeleine McCann ‘found safe and well after four years’”
Italy has it’s own Maddie. Like Isreal? Are we working throught alphabet? If so, look out Jamaica…
Urgent DNA tests are being carried out on the eight year old girl found in Greece to see if she is Denise Pipitone, who vanished in 2004. She missing from outside her grandmother’s house while playing.
And?
News of the discovery will bring fresh hope to Gerry and Kate McCann after their daughter disappeared in Portugal last year, and for the parents of Ben Needham who vanished in 1991 from the same Greek island, Kos, where the Italian girl was found.
Like Our Maddie?
The DNA tests were ordered after Denise’s mother Piera, shown photographs of the girl found in Greece, said the “shape of the eyes was exactly that” of her daughter.
DAILY MIRROR: “DNA tests on ‘Italian Madeleine’”
Madeleine McCann has been missing since last May. A spokesman for her parents said: “If this is Denise then it will give Kate and Gerry immense strength and hope that Madeleine will be found.”
TIMES: “Missing girl Denise Pipitone ‘found begging’ after four-year search”
Greek police traced the Roma woman, 34, who was charged with abducting a minor. One police official said that the girl had the same birthmark under her left eye as Denise, and only spoke Italian. She is being kept under observation in the island’s hospital. The case is as well known in Italy as that of Madeleine McCann. Denise’s mother, Piera Maggio, has made repeated appeals on television for help in finding her.
Italians know of their own missing child as well as they do of Our Maddie?
DAILY MAIL: “Girl dubbed Italy’s Madeleine McCann ‘found alive and well’ four years after she vanished”
Denise’s mother Piera, who said the birthmark and the shape of the eyes were ‘exactly the same’ as her daughter’s. She added that there had been numerous false alarms in the past, so she would not allow herself to get her hopes up.
But the media can get your hopes up for you…
Last night the McCanns’ family spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: ‘If these reports are true it is fantastic news for her family. But it would also give hope to Kate and Gerry because this is exactly the sort of situation that could prove that a child can go missing and be found safe and well.’
If…
THE SCOTSMAN: “Remains may be missing girl”
ISRAELI divers yesterday found a suitcase containing remains police believe belong to a missing girl whose grandfather is being held on suspicion of killing her.
The discovery in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon River marked a breakthrough in the case of four-year old Rose Pizem – missing since May. Her disappearance has transfixed Israel.
HA-ARETZ (Israel): “Until the next tragedy”
Faced with a suspect with a devilish face, an exciting and unusual family story, searches in the river - the Yarkon has never before raised such interest - and a murder without a body, we absolutely wallowed in this story. Oh, how we loved hearing the sexologist talk about the couple’s therapy the two lovers received, grandfather and mother forever. How we wanted to peek further and further into the “Israeli Madeleine McCann” family, which suddenly appeared in our lives; we invaded it with a mixture of voyeurism, gossip and a pinch, just a pinch, of real concern for the missing girl’s fate. Someone will make a film about it.
GREAT YARMOUTH MERCURY: “Visit church in cyberspace”
At 900 years old, a global opening ceremony for Great Yarmouth’s magnificent parish church might seem somewhat belated…
But in cyber world virtual people called avatars are teleporting into St Nicholas’ for a zoom around the vestry or even a stroll on the roof.
For the landmark building has been transported lock stock and wonky weather cock into the 3D virtual reality world of Second Life and now ranks among hundreds of real buildings turned into cartoon locations on the booming internet enterprise where 10m people from all over the world mingle.
Second Life…
Playboy has its own bunny-shaped island and British police have posted missing Madeleine McCann posters on virtual buildings.
Have you seen Madeleine McCann?

“EDIT How could this abductor leave not the smallest trace of himself?
According to the McCanns and you, he came in through the door and out through the window (or has that changed?) yet left not the smallest hint of DNA.
No smudges on the window sill.
No fingerprints on the window (apart from Kate McCann’s)
No evidence of lifting shutters (despite the McCann evidence at the start).
Nothing in cupboards, wardrobes, anywhere, despite G McCann’s hints he was in the apartment when Gerry was checking the children.”
But KM insisted it was an abduction and that she had further evidence, which she refused to reveal on the grounds of secrecy. And both impressed on their families that everyone had to believe it was an abduction.
What more evidence do we need ?
Nothing in the flat to indicate Madeleine taken …except cadaver scent and blood spots linked to the child.

How would like to go through all this and still not have a talk show… what’s the use of a bleedin’ P.R. these days…

Well there you go - another saga comes to an abrupt end - but you can better your las $ that the band wagon will be jumped on and news will be created around the Italian Girl and turned fully onto the McCanns - they will do anything to get into the papers, except phisically get out there and look for their daughter, that is??

I guess if this isn’t Denise Pipitone… then it’s another outbreak of anti-Roma bigotry… and our newspapers reported it as true… so even we’re at it now…

But only because there is no other way they could be countered.

I want to know how come she ended up being called ‘Italy’s Madeleine McCann’ when she disappeared 3 years before her.
It must be so shit to be the missing child no one gives a crap about because your parents don’t have the desperate need to redeem their reputations in the eyes of their friends by being in the Media all the time when they should’ve locked the door or hired a babysitter in the first place…

Why are we not surprised - I can see the headlines now “McCanns hopes dashed by revelation that the missing Italian girl has not been found” - anyway it will be good for a few more days of headlines if nothing else

Watched the news tonight - a couple who were needing money to pay off a debt and couldnt sell their house - decided to run a raffle at £25 a ticket - the prize, their 250,000 pound house - or a price similar - If the McCanns are so short of cash for the f.m.f. they could do the same - there would be thousands of takers - even raffling cuddle cat might be an option (but maybe cuddle is a ward of court by now also) Seriously though - NORMAL people who need cash quick do not beg to the public - they use their initiative and what assets they own to raise their own cash for their own cause - Looking back since the beginning of this saga - every interview, comment, plea and whatever is suggesting that the whole world should be paying for the McCanns mistakes. I would think a whole lot more highly of them if they proved publicly that they are paying the price financially for their gross mistake in leaving their children alone, and selling their own assets to provide funds for the “search” It is a disgrace when you think of the money that other people have given and all the McCanns have done is taken from that money (mortgage payments etc.) so that they can maintain their lifestyle whilst others are asked by them to pay to help rectify their mistakes. I know a lot of mums who would dearly love to give up their job and look after their kids - is that a good enough excuse to start a fund, I wonder?

If it isn’t a fluke, when you have time, I’d appreciate an explanation or an edited post so I can figure it out for myself. I’ve never had anything go to moderation before (at least not that I’m aware of), and I can’t figure out why these two did for the life of me?

I wasn’t the Moderator who pulled those posts, but I can confirm that the Site Administrator has approved it.
And if you are really unable to see why libels and incitements to libel are not tolerated on this site then I doubt that any explanation will be of any help to you.

yes, I too wonder why they go on and on asking people to look, using more and more experienced investigators, if they have something to hide. One would otherwise expect them to keep rather quieter, having made their point.
However, many odd things, e.g. peculiar looking mismatched photos, conflicting statements & changing stories (esp JT’s) and political intervention - to name just a few - point in the opposite direction.
I begin to doubt we will ever know the truth, and although undoubtedly, we all feel sorry for MM, I think we keep searching the information available, for clues, because it is human nature to want to know the final truth and put the subject to bed, so to speak.

Doris, like you, I am an adoptive parent and my psychological fitness to be such has been thoroughly investigated and deemed adequate. Further, my child has so far proven to be thoroughly healthy and profoundly happy. I have never, thank God, experienced any need to take my frustration with her or her care to an internet forum intended for satire, and I have never, ever, not one single time complained of providing her with the love and attention to which she’s entitled.
All of which is to say that any sympathy you wish to extend to MY child might be better spent on your own.

This is a big website, and we have been covering the Large Hadron Collider at some length.

Jass,
I a.) spend all my waking hours here, but b.) disappear whenever I’m even remotely challenged?
As with the “evidence “you misguided fools insist on spinning both ways, you’re going to have to choose just one now, dearie.
If you have been paying attention (clearly a long shot, but call me a gambler), you know that I live in the US and have a real life, and I believe I gave a very clear goodbye saying I was off to work. Seems someone has decided to put a couple of my comments in moderation (I absolutely cannot see why, as they are in no way inflammatory and are supported by fact and logic, but it’s the first time ever, so I’m going to assume it’s just a fluke), but I’m pretty sure I’d exposed you for exactly what you are (no, not in a good way, sweetie) before I left.
Like to try again?

I note your comment ’someone’ has decided to put a couple of your comments into moderation.
For the avoidance of any possible doubt, comments are put into moderation by the moderators and admin of this site.
Flukes don’t do that.

Because if we are, the answer is that there will be some delay until it gets up to enough speed to find the God Particle.

clouseau, she greets the person at the door who gerry has sent, wrapped in a towel that i think was between 6 and 6.30. in her statement which starts after 7.30 she relates that she had a bath then before going out. so she had a shower and later a bath ?

DOCTORS DO SOMETIMES CLOSE RANKS
Clarissa (from 2 fat ladies fame) has just written her autobigraphy and was disussing it on day time TV a few days ago.
She says that she and her mother were reguarly physically abused by her father - a very eminent top doctor (surgeon I think) who is now dead.
Noone would have believed it possible, she says, from the way he behaved to other people outside the family.
When the mother at last tried to report it, other doctors closed ranks and said they would certify her, in other words say she was mad and couldn’t be believed, if she persisted in her claim.
So….. I’ll leave it for you to ponder, not about the physical abuse, but the cover up and lies. Anything is possible to save a career …………….
September 13th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Except from vocal one (and for some time), here, who has had their ‘ generosity abused’?
A pile of nonsense. And again,… I challenge.. how could it have been done?
