11 Rochdale Asian mean charged with child rape and other paedophile crimes

ELEVEN men are in the dock at Liverpool crown Court. The men all all anglo-Asians. How relevant is that? They are accused of sexually abusing five girls. The girls were aged between 13 and 15 when the alleged abuse began. The girls are wall white. How relevant is that?

All the girls are from broken homes. One of the girl was in care, in the protection of the State.

The alleged rape and assaults occurred in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, between 2008 and 2009. It is alleged that the men gave the girls drugs and drink in return for sex.

Kabeer Hassan, 24, Abdul Aziz, 41, Abdul Rauf, 43, Mohammed Sajid, 35, Adil Khan, 42, Abdul Qayyum, 43, Mohammed Amin, 44, Qamar Shahzad, 29, Liaquat Shah, 41, and Hamid Safi, 22, are charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with children under the age of 16. They each deny every charges laid before them. A 12th man, Mohammed Shazad, is wanted by the police

The man are alleged paedophiles.

All have pleaded not guilty to every crime put before them..

The men knew one another. Two of the accused work in the fast food industry, at Tasty Bites and the Balti House, both in Rochdale. Four have no work. One is a student. Four have worked as mini cab drivers.

One of the alleged victims told police:

“When you’ve got Asian friends, number gets passed and they pass it to their friends. And they pass it to their friends, end up with a massive circle… everyone’s got it.”
